@ZamboniGamer @joujou264 Your point? How can anyone say this system is dead because they showed a 2 or 3 dorky games at E3 among all those awesome ones? It's not like these games are the only things they intend to do with the system. Scribblenuats,Pikmin,Mario,LEGO,Batman,Tekken,Aliens. What a variety,and that's only some of the games coming for the system. Plus,they look to be on the right online track with Miiverse,we'll see where that goes. I mean at least give the thing a chance.It isn't even out yet. People did the same with the Wii,and whether they like how it turned out or not,the Wii was a success,with plenty of AAA titles mixed in all the "Super Backyard Ballgames Pro" crap that people released. I know,because I own several of these games. I believe the Wii U to be capable of even more than the Wii,with a much better balance between casual and core.
@joujou264 You of course remember that Nintendo land wasn't the only thing they announced right? I believe it was a mistake to end with it,but don't forget the likes of Pikmin 3, Arkham City Armored edition,and Tekken.
Pro controller is an excellent idea for making ports easier,and giving the less imaginative gamers their "normal" gaming experience, but having the Gamepad is excellent for making Nintendo versions of games unique. Superb way to capitalize on both markets. And let's hope Miiverse offers us something akin to PSN and XBL. Connecting over Wii U,3DS,PC,tablet,and smartphone? Yes please!

@SavageKantus I don't know about the whole "Meta Knight standing tall about the rest" thing. I know he is an excellent character,and the one I am most deadly with. I do use Meta Knight to beat my brother when he plays as Sonic though. Of course,when my brother plays as Meta Knight,he isn't very good. So I don't think Meta Knight is some sort of magic talisman who is so good he's unbeatable.Even I have been beaten as him before. I think it's just a matter of learning how to battle each character.
A simple fix to all of these things is to keep ALL of the features.of course,add new ones,but make them ALL optional,like the items.Put all the features that can be toggled on one menu,and people can play how they like.
I can control my 360 with my tablet! Or I could just grab my controller and do the same thing. And if they're talking about Netflix on my tablet,it can do that by itself already. Tablets can do all of that streaming without hooking up to a console. Not that I'm saying tablets are a replacement for consoles,certainly not. I just don't understand what this function will do that I can't already do. Maybe those "other apps" hold some nuggets of usefulness.
I agree with pretty much all of this. I've always loved Nintendo,but they're in a very precarious spot here,releasing their console so much earlier than the 720 and PS4. So they've got to be careful,and they MUST get the online ball rolling. I believe they can do it,now I just have to see what happens at E3,where all our questions will be answered.
@Vickman178 Ain't it funny how people love to bash Nintendo? Even if the console came out and had graphics 8 times better than this gen,they'd still try to complain about something.So,I just ignore them. In the big picture,opinions are irrelevant. What I mean by that,is that if you enjoy a game or a console,no one else's opinion matters. Your money,your time,your fun. So I joyously remove myself from the seething mass of humanity.
