Xcom Enemy Unknown is a turn based squad strategy game... It has some RPG elements, in that your favorite specialized soldiers will be terribly missed when they die horribly.

Just Cause 2. It isnt really a hidden gem, but I didnt expect to like it half as much as I did. Possibly the most fun ive had in a sandbox game. Portal is kind of hidden... If you bought Orange box without knowing it was in there, youd be in for an awesome surprise.

Well, I finished the 1st, and couldnt get into the 2nd. Both I found a bit tedious, because forced stealth even in games where stealth is very well done annoys me to no end. Im terrible at it, I know that. The games are very well made, but they arent for me.

All of the story related research says PRIORITY in the title... So you know its important to progress the story. For the most part you can still get better weapons and armor, and level up your rookies without any real consequence. But if you still have the starting weapons when you find some Mutons... Youll be in trouble. Dont start again, learn your lessons! :P

Ive tried playing my own music during Spelunky... But its very dangerous as that game has a bunch of important music cues you can miss. D: But yeah, GTA and most online games I can play without missing anything.

I loved that game, because its so polarizing. I hated that game at different point while playing though, and had to take several week long breaks. But after thinking "I got it" multiple times... I finally actually got it. -Dont go into it like Skyrim, its not that kind of RPG. The thing is one big tension simulator, not a walk in the park. -You cant be a ranged thief or ranger, using bows all day. You will be up close and fighting. -You CAN beat it OFFLINE. You dont need help or hindrance from other players, but its nice to have that interaction. -Try some different weapons early, see what you like. Then pick one, and level it up as you level. Its very important to use Titinite to buff your gear, dont ignore it. And make you come back to tell us if you quit :P

Ive never really heard of someone getting stuck in Skyrim... You can opt out of almost any quest, explore to your hearts content, and steal whatever you need. Dont beat your head against a wall, just try something else and come back to that quest later when youre ready for it. And you can run away from Dragons... Believe me, sometimes all I want to do is fight them and they ignore me. :(

Last i played was late 2012, and there were still tons of people to posse up with. The game has a pretty unique setting, so anyone interested in it still plays now and then it seems.

The single player game is even better, I think. Id suggest getting it for 360, as youll be playing it for a while either way, and suggesting anything else would be uncivilized :P

Thats what I hear, as I never played the sequel. The coolest thing about the first was the mixed unit tactics you could play with before and during combat... But somehting about the world was constricting and disapointing. I only played it through once.
