MINOR SPOILER ALERT.

all right, well i got the game and iv played up to were you get to the first big city looking for the scientest guy. Seems fun enough so far. for some reason im haveing some trouble getting used to the controls and play style. Im not sure why, kinda like trying to wright with my left hand "im right handed lol". just plays a little def than most other games iv played.Or maybe its becuase its been so long sense i played a new game :p. my onereal grip so far is that i have to down load this 670mb or so DLC to be able to do the intro comic thing thats suposed to bridge the gap between the first game and 2nd as well as far as i under stand it alters the story .Its free dlc wich is nice but i have a stinking 5gig a month data cap "thanks for adding that SPRINT, the unlimited i signed up for was to good of a thing hu? sorry ****'s." So i cant down load the DLC this month as i already used almost a gig downloading some patchs ect earlier so i will run short before the month is up thus i have to wait a month before downloading it. why couldnt they just put the comic thing on the disk, another case of devlopers assumeing cutomers have access to high speed net. Any way the story seems cool, and i like the cover/shoot system in the game. I picked the soldier class for my first play through. I was a bit bumed out when i found out there is no ship to ship space battle though, they give you this cool ship that you can move around in and all but dont let you use it in a fight. i wish it was like skys of arcadia in that regard. makes the ship feel more like another character.. and well i just love big ships fighting it out lol.

If you notice, the gameplay and design in their games is the same as when the franchises first made their 2D/3D appearances.

For example, look at Darksiders. The jump from Darksiders 1 to 2, is huge. They have added many more mechanics and increased the world size threefold atleast. Whereas, Skyward Sword actually took a step back. Sure it added motion controls, but that has more to do with hardware design that actualy pure gameplay design.

Is this getting stale for others too?

I am a fan of Nintendo's games, but I just always feel like i've been there done that, too many times. It becomes a chore after a while.

yea i kinda feel the same way. particularly with zelda.

Just a site trying to get hits, nothing more

you scared microsoft might lose rare. thats all nothing more.

There's no chance of them losing anything.

Rare is 100 times better now then any other time in it's lifecycle, no one is going to ditch that cash cow.

The way Nintendo has been losing money since 2008 they don't have that kind of money to buy it.

Microsoft wont sell, Nintendo can't afford to buy.

"Rare is 100 times better now then any other time in it's lifecycle"Thats your opinion no matter how flat wrong it is :)

imo i dont want a overly "mature" zelda. but i would like to see the game grow or change in some areas. character and story depth and complexity being number one., i have not played SS but i have found the save system in WW and TP to be horrible at best. id def like a save anytime and start right were you left off feature like in for example the fallout games and skyrim. Thats very very handy feature to have. In fact i know im going to get hated on for saying this and thats ok lol but for me the perfect zelda game would be almost a blending of oblivion or skyrim and zelda. a huge fleshed out world slap full of characters and things to do ect but with that nintendo/zelda charm. of course i dont mean skyrim just with ninty characters, def NOT but take some of the better aspects of those huge open world games and add it to the zelda games.

i truly dont mean to be rude or negative but if your not really looking forward to owning the console but are just swept up in the hype as you say and you feel the need to have others tell you why you should buy the system...well then maybe you shouldnt buy it?

iv not played dead island but i can tell you fallout 3 is a very good game. just make sure you patch it up. Also if you have not already got it you might want to consider fallout new vegas. especaly if you want a servival game as new vegas has a feature called hard core mod i think its called that requires you to eat, drink and sleep wich i found adds a lot of depth and game play to the game. more than i would have thought. makes the world seem much more beleavable and puts all those food items, water sources and crafting of food items at camp sites ect to use. plus it has a lot more weapons ect. I just think its a little deeper world. of course fallout 3 has Three DAAAWGS who is much cooler than mr new vegas imo ;P. are you hungry for some 200 year old salsberry steak or some news! and lets not forget the awesome railroad gun ;)

yea i dont care ether way. rare is not what it used to be, it WAS one of the best studios around *imo but as far as i know conckers bad fur day was there last truly great game. or am i wrong?i cant think of any thing they have done sense MS bought them that was AAA class, i think i recall hearing they made a port of conkers Bad fur day for the xbox or 360 iirc with some extra content but seeing as it was still more or less the same game i dont really count that.

You could try connecting a USB fan to one of the ports, although I'm not sure if it'll work successfully. Look it up on YT or something.BrokenSkylight
first, and i dont mean or want to sound like a je** but if its THAT hot in your house maybe put off buying any games ect for awhile and get an air conditioner. i simple 5000 btu window unit should work if nothing else, there cheap "should be much less than a ps3" easy to install and im just assumeing you have a window to put it in, and the newer ones are pretty energy effeciant. But if thats not posable for what ever reason, just get a good desk fan and have it blow air at the ps3, or buy one of those ps3 cooler systems. if nothing else you might be able to rig up a laptop cooling pad to blow air on to your ps3.
