Gawd... so much emotion.

First: A score can never be "unfair". It's an opinion, nothing more... the game will not suffer much from it.

Second: Yea, 4.5 is rather low, but you can't really blame a reviewer for it. CAPCOM tried to make a game that pleases everyone: Old shool RE fans, RE4 and 5 fans, horror game fans, general 3rd peson shooter fans,... I think companies should finally start to learn that there is no "game for everyone"... it's a mythos. Trying to create such a game is stupid and bound to fail.

From what I#ve played till now, RE6 is a hybrid that tries to do everything, failing at doing anything right...

I just played it for a few minutes (they have open beta weekend going on) and, yea, it's hard... but it also is ugly, boring and forgettable... one of many Diablo clones.

Probably because human beings are inherently closet sociopaths and are attracted to dark images and cathartic violence. We are afraid of our own nature yet drawn to it if that makes any sense.

Also, the game is fun and addicting with a great sense of progression.

It's quite simple: If you want Diablo 1 on steroids, play PoE. It's dark, ugly (kinda fits the game, though), gritty, unforgiving and complex.

If you want a modern, more polished version of Diablo 2 (with alittle of WoW in it), then play D3.
