I like to take my 360 to other people's homes and play splitscreen there, w/o connecting to the internet. This will make that impossible so I if this is true microsoft will have lost a sale here as well

It was directed to EA in general, but in regards to this if they had listened to the fans who didn't want to always have to be connected via internet and have a traditional Simcity experience there wouldn't have been any server issues since it would be singleplayer.
