@lonesamurai1: That's nonsense. The early 90s were by FAR the best time to be a PC gamer. I'm very glad that CRPGs are making a return.

@fedor: The only PC exclusives I really enjoy playing much anymore is Blizzard, and they're going as much console as PC anymore as well. There are some great indie games that sometimes don't come to console, and I do have a gaming PC for those. But overall I prefer console because console has a lot better exclusives. There's nothing like Persona 5 or Zelda that's exclusive to PC. PC is kind of the slimmest pickings of AAA gaming honestly except for Nintendo. Yes, there are some good things about gaming on a PC (like graphics for instance), but it's got plenty of negatives too. Meh, to each their own I suppose.

@sealionact: No, he's saying that people generally buy a specific console over the other because of exclusives. You may not buy every exclusive, but you will buy some of them. And that does matter as much as you want to pretend otherwise. It's much of the reason the PS4 is still selling considerably better than Xbox One. There's a lot more exclusives of high quality on the PS4 than the Xbox One. I know people can argue that's subjective, but I think there's a point where it's so obvious it stops becoming subjective. And I think we're well past that point now. Microsoft need to invest in development studios if they want to stay relevant.

@Barighm: 8K would be pointless. Our eyes can't even see the full quality of 4K. But 4K does look amazing (as someone who owns a 4K TV and a PS4 Pro). I think the real issue is that ultimately the best looking games will still be on the PS4. So Call of Duty may look a little better on the Xbox One X, but The Last of Us 2 will probably be the best looking game all generation by a considerable amount. Microsoft isn't going to take the graphics title with processor power alone. And ultimately that's going to be a problem for Microsoft I think, even if both consoles will sell like crap for the next 3 or 4 years likely. Eventually I can see the the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X being supported after the PS4 and Xbox One stop being supported if Microsoft is still around then anyway. I have a feeling consoles are going to be upgraded in increments from here on out instead of massive upgrades every 7 or 8 years.

@graffitiheart: Sea of Thieves looks like it might be good, but I haven't seen anywhere near enough of it to convince me that it'll be worth playing for months. MMOs live by their endgame content and variety. Diving for treasure chests and kill some baddies in a cave to find a treasure chest to go sell the loot isn't exactly selling me on the game. It could be awesome, but what they've shown is pretty generic so far. The ship battles look like the best part, but that'll likely mean that griefing will be a major problem in the game too. I'm willing to give it a try, but I have a gaming PC as well as a PS4 Pro. I don't actually need a Xbox One if they're never going to release true exclusives for it.

@paul_walker: Hard to find your point through this blizzard of saltiness. I'll agree that some people are being extremely rude. And it's okay to like one console more than another. But I think we all know that Microsoft didn't have a great conference. Try not to take it too hard buddy. Your games will still be fun.

@sealionact: Then you might want to use the word popular instead of the phrase "top games". There's a lot of ambiguity there.

@bmoreninja777: Don't forget Persona 5. That's my favorite game of this generation by far. But Zelda and Horizon were both amazing as well.

@sealionact: Theoretically. There's more to graphics than just the hardware. I'm still guessing the Playstation 4 Pro API will be considerably better than the Xbox One X API. But it's unlikely it will make up for the 50% decrease in processing power. So sure, multiplatform games will very likely look better on the Xbox One X. But Playstation 4 Pro will still have the best looking games overall because Sony has more experience developers than Microsoft does. They can't compete with Naughty Dog and Guerilla Games. Remedy could come close, but it looks like they're no longer a 2nd party studio since they're working on a multiplatform title. I don't think Microsoft will gain much from this overall. But I could always be wrong. I'm just not sure how. The 4K market is pretty small. I'm happily a member of it and I love how games look on my new TV (especially ones that are enhanced for the Pro), but overall we're only like 2 or 3% of the market share. Meh.

@lumpy: Tomb Raider was a great game. I think he's referencing graphic quality though, and Tomb Raider was definitely not even close to as graphically impressive as Uncharted 4. Uncharted 4 on the PS4 Pro looks absolutely amazing. Microsoft doesn't have a developer like Naughty Dog. It's a big problem for them. They have some talent without a doubt, but nobody like Naughty Dog.
