Made Us Whole

Hello, Home Skilletz. What's up?

So, I've discovered something amazingly awesome as of late Sunday night. Dead Space 2! :D

(*Ahem* Those of you who haven't finished Dead Space 2 yet, I might have some very minor spoilers in this blog so... read at you're on risk! xD)

I'm very surprised with myself for loving Dead Space 2 so much, since I was so disappointed in the first game. Everything has improved immensely in Dead Space 2. The story, for one is much better. Not nearly as insane, or in other words down right creepy. :P The characters rock, which in my own humble opinion, is a very good thing. Isaac Clarke now has a face we're able to see throughout the game, and he talks! How cool is that?! His voice is awesome, and matches his character, and appearance perfectly.

Eli is very cool as well. I liked when Isaac would joke with Eli, it made the game a lot less... dark. :P As for Stross... well... let's just say "Drop it Stross! Drop it!" :x Yeah... xD Ahem, anyhow. The characters are awesome. I knew Eli would have something to say about Isaac's plans towards the end of the game. I was very happy she did. The ending was amazing! Holy crap, was it epic. One of my favorite game endings EVER. Like I said before, the story is so much better in Dead Space 2, though it does continue from the original game. Some of the scenes with Nicole, well... all of them really, I found to be very emotional. I dunno why, maybe it's just because I'm a girl. But in the scene towards the end of the game, when Isaac starts to realize he needs to let Nicole go, I found to be the most emotional scene in the game. So epicly sad... *Wipes tear from eye* Also, when Isaac saves Eli, that was also, to me, a very sad, yet epic moment of the game. Very sad... :P The graphics are much more realistic as well, which makes the game a heck of a lot more scary. :P

I only ever played this game with my nephew. I dunno why, it's kind of our thing. We played the entire first game together, and Sunday night I had rented Dead Space 2, and we played it that night, up until last night. I had rented it for 2 days, so it's a good thing we finished the game in about 9 hours. xD At one point, we had been playing the game for a long time without any breaks. We walked through this doorway, and BOOM! A body, out of nowhere, falls on top of Isaac. Oh my gosh, that scared the crap out of us! xD It was hilarious! Also, when we were in the school, we found an evil sun prop. Or rather, it found us. :P

My favorite chapters in the game, would definitely have to be when Isaac goes back to the USG Ishimura. 8) I was so on edge when I started those chapters, just being back there where everything started, freaked me out. Not that I hadn't been thoroughly freaked before that point, mind you. :P God, those Stalkers are freakin' scary!

There you have it. Dead Space 2. I think I might agree with my friend, Out-Of-Ammo. I know it's only March, but Dead Space 2 just might be my Game of the Year for 2011. Yeah, it's that awesome. 8)

I got about halfway through the game, and gave it a 9.0. After I finished it, it's definitely worth a 9.5. ^_^

Oh, before I leave, I was wondering. What is Dead Space: Extraction? It's not a DLC, that much I know. Or, I think so... I've heard it only comes with the Limited Edition of the game? If so, I really need to buy that before it disappears. xD I also seen a trailer for the Dead Space 2 DLC, Severed. It looks awesome! But I can't get it without actually owning Dead Space 2... >_> I also really want the new AC: Brotherhood DLC. :x And I also want the movie Tangled. :x :P I also want more trophies! :x I only have 277... :P

Oh, one more thing...

Isaac Clarke's new armor is very sexy, no? 8)

... xD

Sorry about the short, Dead Space 2 only blog. I promise I'll be back soon with a real blog! :P

Thank you for reading!

A Tale Within A Tale

Hello, Home Skilletz!

Yes, yes, I know! It's been almost a month again since my last blog. I don't know why... this laziness is really getting the better of me. :P But I've also got a decent excuse for not being active! Well... maybe. :P

1. I've been doing some serious gaming, mostly in Uncharted 2, and Dragon Age: Origins.

2. I've started writing again! :D As well as getting back into art. Drawing mostly.

3. I've been sleeping... alot. xD

So you see? This time around, I have three excuses! And there all very good ones, if you ask me!

Say, you want to know something that really annoys me? Whats that? You don't? Well, thats too bad, because I'm going to tell you anyway. So last Saturday I went out with my parents, just out around town. We went to one of our favorite places to shop, Sullivans. I suppose you could call it a thrift shop, though it's mostly all antiques. It's a family business, and the lady that runs it is actually quite nice. Her son is sometimes there helping out, and we talk sometimes. He has very good taste in books and video games, it must be said. 8) The place is actually really cool, I enjoy going there alot. Anyhow, once we got up to the front desk to pay for our findings, there was a girl there. I suppose she was the owner's daughter, but she didn't even look 12 years old! So she started to ring everything up, and she picks up of my things. It was an old glass bird, I remember my Mom having a set of them when I was very young. I don't know why I bought it... it just brought back old memories I suppose... Anyhow, so she looks at me, then turns to my Mom and says "So does you're daughter collect these types of things?" They look... kind of cool." My Mom looked at me, then answered the girl. Of course I don't collect weird bird statue things! This one just reminded me of my childhood. So then, she decides to completely ingnor me, and ask my Mom all of these stupid questions about what I collect, what I like to do, etc. I was somewhat offended, which may sound stupid. And it makes me feel incredibly stupid, to have a 10 year old make me feel that way. -_- Sullivans, is no longer one of my favorite places to hang out.

Then, later that week, one of my Dad's friends from church calls him while we were waiting for some friends to arrive,so go we could go out to eat together. For some weird reason I don't know, they were talking about me. Saying how shy I was, and that needed to spend more time with people my own age. Mind you, I was in the room this whole time.

Again that week, the same thing kept happening! So if you haven't figured it out yet, the point to this little rant is that when people talk about me like I'm not in the room, when infact I am, really ticks me off. -_- If you got something to say about me, say it to my face, not behind my back.

Bah. Enough about that.

So in my last blog I also said that some of my family and I were going to the St. Louis Science Center. Well, the day we were suppose to go, my sister got really sick and coulden't even get out of bed. She's feeling much better now, but she still is having some of the effects of the illness she had. Mom keeps telling her to go to the doctor and get it checked out, but she's too stubborn. Like Mother like daughter, right?

So anyhow, were are suppose to make it there this weekend. Hopefully I won't forget my camera, and I can get some sweet pictures!

Back to the gaming world!

Dragon Age II came out yesterday! :D I went out picked it up around 11:00 am, and have been playing it ever since. Well, with a few breaks in between then and now. Since I pre-ordered, I got some really cool armour, and a lion shield thing. :P Though I can't use it at the moment, becuase I haven'tbeen focusing my upgrades on Dexterity, and Strength. -_- The game is really cool, the story is turning out very well. Though there are quite a few things I liked better in Dragon Age: Origins... the conversations, for instance. You can no longer talk to you're party members at any time, but only after you have completed one of the main story quests. That, was one of my favorite aspects of DA:O! I though it was very cool that I was able to stop and tease Morrigan, or share a kiss with Alistair, during a critical mission! -_- And, the party members aren't nearly as entertaining. The funniest thing I've heard while walking the streets of Kirkwall, was Varric and Isabella's disturbing conversation about chest hair, which wasn't, in my own humble opinion, at all funny.

*Has a flashback*

Wynne: "Alistair, what is this?"

Alistair: "That? That is a sock."

Wynne: "Yes, it's a filthy sock! How did it find it's way into my bedroll?"

Alistair: "Maybe it likes you? Socks are sneaky like that! Anyway, it's not mine."

Wynne: "It has you're name stitched on it."

Alistair: "Oh! Haha... part of Templar training back at the Chantry. The men were always... getting their socks mixed up. Anyway, uh, sorry about that! I'll take it from you right now. One of my socks is feeling a bit damp anyway, a change would be nice."

Wynne: "You're gong to put it on?! It's filthy!"

Alistair: "And dry! We're not exactly traveling in the lap of luxury here."

Wynne: "What hideous habbits you've picked up."

Ahh... good times! :D

Back to Dragon Age II. So yes, the game does have some negitive aspects, but it also has some very good ones! One of them being Hawke of course. 8) And no, not in the way you're thinking. I love that you're character actually has a voice now. Though it also means you don't always get to choose everything Hawke says. The combat system has also changed for the better, I think. It's freakin' awesome! I'm playing as a Mage at the moment, and the fighting is epic! Though I will admit... I sometimes get distracted by Hawke's incredibly attractive arms, and must hurry up and heal myself before I get knocked out. :| :P Especially when he does his special moves with the Mage's staff. Oh be still my beating heart...

Bah! Get ahold of yourself VGN! :x Okay what was I saying? Oh, yes!

The combat of Dragon Age II. So epic! When I played through the demo as a Warrior, the combat wasen't that much different from when you play as a Mage, there were some very awesome combat moves. I didn't get a chance to see what the combat was like as a Rogue, but my brother-in-law is playing through the game as a Rogue, and he says it's also very epic. 8)

One more thing I miss in the first Dragon Age, was the approval system. Each time you made a desicion, be it either small or huge, you're party member's approval of you would either become higher, or lower. No the case is, whenever youmake a desicion, their 'friendship' or 'rivalry' goes up. And, I can't for the life of me, figure out how to givemy party members gifts! :x

The characters are also cool I suppose. Not as awesome as the characters from DA:O *coughAlistaircough*. I miss Alistair and Morrigan's constant bickering. I miss Wynne teasing Alistair. I miss Zevran. :( But, we can't have everything we want. So I'm making due. I will say Varric, Isabella, and Fenris are my favorite party members so far. I doubt you can get anymore people to join you're party, I've already got 8 at the moment. :P Since I'm playing as the male Hawke, I'm thinking Isabella would be a great choice for Hawke's romance. She reminds me of Slyfur, in a way. xD

I'm just about 15 hours into the game, and I'm currently halfway through The Deep Roads expedition. I just hit level 10 this morning, and I've been doing tons of the side quests. 8)

Oh my... this blog has become very long. :| Time to wrap this up!

-I'm nearly done writing "One Last Night", my fanfic of Dragon Age: Origins! I know I said I would have it up by Sunday night, but I was busy playing Uncharted 2 with Marko, and didn't finish it! :P

-I drew a picture of Hawke! Well... the best I could anyway. His hair and eyes aren't quite right. I would have done a lot better if I had a picture of him to look at while I was drawing it. If you wish to see it, I will post it here on GS, and on DevArt. Mind you, it's only my fourth attempt at drawing a person.

-I've been unlocking trophies in Dragon Age II like crazy! I used to be able to play Dragon Age: Origins for hours and not get anything out of it! Hurrah for Dragon Age II's easy trophies! :D

-I seen Alpha and Omega. It was very boring!

-I'm getting pink highlights!

-I'll have reviews for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Assassin's Creed II, and Dragon Age: Origins up soon!

-I have over 200 hundred trophies! 8)

-I didn't know Anders was gay

There! I didn't mention Hugh Jackman once in this blog! >_>

Thank you for reading, and God bless!

Of The People, By The People, For The People...

Hello, Home Skilletz!

Hey, I'm actually writing more than one blog a month! Haha, I've been in the mood to write lately, and so I though, why not do a blog on GameSpot?

Well I've got quite a few things to talk about, but I'm not sure if I have time to write everything. :P I've actually got plans today to hang out with my nieces and nephew. We're going to hang out at the mall, I'm excited about that, because I just got paid $200.00 yesterday from my babysitting job. :D So I'm going to do some series shopping. Then we were going to see a movie. Probably Gnomeo & Juliet. It's look like a cute movie, and since there isn't any Hugh Jackman movies playing at the moment... :P I also had a fantastic homemade breakfast, for the first time in months this morning! It was great! I've been trying to eat healthier these past few weeks, and so far I've been doing great. I'm proud of myself! I got some tips from Hugh Jackman, and all of them have been working wonderfully. :P Those last couple weeks when I was very sick, I had lost almost 10 pounds, so I've gotten a head start to my new... what would you call it? Bah, never mind. :P Anyway, I have a feeling today is going to be a blast. :)

Today is also Abe Lincoln's birthday! (Hence the blog title, somewords from one of Lincoln's most famous speach) Most of my close friends here know that Abe Lincoln is one of my heros, and my favorite President. 8) So, happy birthday Abe! :P

Let's see... I've gotten, and played some new games on the PS3, and 360. I've finally gotten Splinter Cell: Conviction! I rented it and played through it about a year ago when it first came out, and thought it was a great game. I've forgotten how difficult some of the controls can be though, so I'm getting used to that again as well. Not to mention I've been playing the PS3 so much more than my 360 the past few weeks, and it felt good to hold the 360's controller in my hands again. 8) It's so much more comfortable than the PS3, or Wii's controller, in my own humble opinion.

My parents also got me Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, for Valentine's Day. :D They gave it to me early, since I have school on Monday, so I've been playing that since last night. I'm actually surprised at how much I'm enjoying it, the graphics aren't bad at all, for a childrens game. Most of the dialog is quite funny as well. :P I've also been working on getting a Platinum in Uncharted 2, though most of the time whenever I play it, it's with my friend Marko. :P I just hit level 46 a couple days ago, and I'll probably be at that level for a while, since I've got other games to play.

Some of my friends were surprised that I wasn't on PSN for a few days at a time, two weeks ago. You see, I've started reading this book series called The Dresden Files. It's very cool, one of my favorite series, second only to Ranger's Apprentice. It's about a man, Harry Dresden, who is a Wizard and a detective.

The first book, Strom Front, and the third book, Grave Peril, are by far my favorites so far. It's got mystery, suspense, action, romance, and so much more awesomeness. I love it! And my brother-in-law for introducing me to the series. :P There are about 12 books out at the moment, and the next one comes out on my birthday! How cool is that?! I said it would be the best one yet, for that very reason! :P Anyway, I'm reading the fourth book now, Summer Knight. I'm only on the 4th or 5th chapter, but so far it's very good, as usual. I always make sure I don't have anything to do the next day before I sit down and read the Dresden Files books at night, because I know once I hit the middle of the book, I can't stop reading it until I finish it. My brother-in-law says he's the same way with them. :P Their just that good. 8) I highly recommend them to all my friends!

I also really want to start writing again, but with me and my job, and some things going on in the family right now, thats just not possible at the moment. I hope I can get back to writing very soon.

My parents, my sister and her family have decided to go the the St. Louis Science Museum sometime soon! I've never been there, so I'm quite excited to experience something new. :D Of course while my family and I are down in St. Louis, we will definitely do some shopping. I need to look for more Hugh Jackman movies, and hopefully get some of my own copies of The Dresden Files. Speaking of Hugh Jackman... last Sunday I seen another one of his films for the first time. I seen The Fountain. Don't. Ever. Watch. That. Film. Seriously. :| Possibly one of thee worst movies I've ever seen. I'm sorry Hugh, I love you but that film was crap. :P It was so confusing to me, I hardly understood any of it at all. Maybe if I seen it again, I might be able to piece everything together... but it gave me a headache the first time, so I doubt I'll ever watch it again. :P I also bought the film Knight and Day a couple days ago, I really enjoyed it!

I'm not used to seeing Tom Cruise play that type of character though, so it was kind of weird for me. :P I didn't really understand why the girl was even part of the movie... I mean, she really has no meaning to the story. I also thought the ending could have been much better, but all in all, it was a great film. :)

A lot of you know that my friend Slyfur and I had a Rock, Paper, Scissors duel a couple weeks ago, to see who would win the infamous Altair. Well, I won. :P Completely by chance, I know. :P I've also won the title of Master Assassin! 8) Whoot whoot! I'm happy. :P

Oh! I've been using my PS3's internet a lot, mostly to watch Hugh Jackman videos on YouTube. :D :P I found quite a few that are hilarious, and some that are just plain awesome. There was this one video of Hugh I found where he's at some kind of open theater, and he's singing We Three Kings with two other singers. He's actually a very good singer, and I'm not just saying that because I like him. He's also a fantastic dancer as well. Now, a lot of you may think I'm obsessed with Mr. Hugh Jackman, but I'll tell you right now, I am not. It's more of a great deal of respect, and... inspiration that I hold, and find in him. He's a great actor, singer, dancer, etc. He's famous, yet stays faithful to his wife and family. He's very honest, and humble. The list can goon... It's people like him that give me hope yet for the world. It's nice to know there are still people out there that care, you know? So yeah, Hugh Jackman is not some random actor that I'm crushing on, because I'm not. He's one of my heros, someone I look up to. 8) Though, he is rather handsome...

Meh... I really don't think I've much more to talk about... oh! I plan on getting Xbox LIVE very soon with my new found money, so Ill be letting you guys know about that in the near future, as well as many other things.

I also want to thank Aidan129 for making myself a very sexy new banner and sig!

Okay, I'm getting tired of writing now... enough of this blog!

God bless, and thank you for reading!

Yours In Eternity,

Among Thieves

Hello, Home Skilletz!

Wow! It's really been a while, this is the longest I've gone without writing a blog. I can't believe I only wrote one blog, in the whole month of January. You see? My life is boring. :P

Well. I suppose a lot has happened with myself in a month. One thing being I got a PlayStation 3. 8) It's fantastic, I absolutely love it. I've also got a PSN account, my ID is VideoGamerNerd94, so if you haven't added me yet, feel free to. Just send me a message along with the friend request, so I know who you are.

I had already told you guys before I got my PS3 that I really wanted the Uncharted games, and I got them. I love Uncharted 2, the multiplayer is great. The best I've played by far. My first night with U2 was great, the first thing I did was go right to the online multiplayer, and I teamed up with my awesome friends matastig, and Just-Adam. We did a Co-op mission, which was really cool. Then mata and I did a Survival game to help me level up. :P I hit level 40 in just one week, and a few days ago I got to level 44. Not bad, if I do say so myself. Which... I do. 8) I also play it almost every night with mata, and some of his friends I met in the U2 lobby, Marko and Ooby. I seriously love playing with these guys, and having a mic makes it all the more fun. I can't wait until you get you're mic next week mata! :D Yes, I remembered! :P

There are tons of different game modes to play in the online U2, it's awesome. Though my favorites are Deathmatch, Elimination, and Survival. Sooo much fun. If you want to team up one night when I'm online, just send me a message! :)

So I finished Uncharted 2's story about a week ago, and it was very cool!

I like the ending a lot, it made me smile. :P I've yet to finish the first Uncharted game... it's a but slower than the second. Not too much action. But I definitely will get around to finishing it, I want to platinum both games. I've also got Lego Indiana Jones for the PS3... my Mom bought that. She likes those kind of games. :P I mean, there really fun when you're in the mood, but when you've been playing games like Uncharted 2 all day, and then switching the Lego Indiana Jones... thats quite a jump. :P I've also rented X-Men Origins: Wolverine, AC: Brotherhood, and Mass Effect 2 just to get trophies. :P Speaking of trophies... I've got 99 of them! :D I really want to buy Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 when I get paid next, cause the graphics look amazing, and all the extra DLC content already on the disc? Thats awesome! There are a lot of other games for the PS3 I have yet to play, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me in you're comment. :)

Oh wow... I just looked outside my window, and I can't see! The area where I live right now is in a blizzard, and it had just started snowing about an hour ago... so when I say "I can't see." I mean, all I can see is white... :P I can't believe how much snow there is... we are suppose to get in between 20 and 30 inches of snow out of this storm, and I'm kind of worried, cause if that happens, my Dad will be at work until Friday. :( I'm praying that doesn't happen. I'm also praying that our power doesn't go out until I'm done writing this blog... :P

Man there is a lot to talk about... I'm not really sure where to start. :P Let's see...

Oh! I'm a blond again! :D I got my hair cut and colored, and I love it!

Uhm... I went to go see True Grit, and it was an excellent film! 8)

I found MORE Hugh Jackman Movies! :D I also seen that his newest movie, Real Steel is going to be in theaters October 7th! And he has another new movie coming out late this year called Unbound Captives.

Let me think... my family has had 3 Birthday parties in the past month. I know, crazy right? :P

It's tax season! :x

Yeah. Thats about it. :P

Ugh... I'm really tired. This cold just doesn't want to let up. -_- I think I'm done for this blog. Sorry it's so short... I'm just too tired to write anymore. :P

Laters, and thanks for reading!

Yours In Eternity,

Happy New Year, Among Other Things

Hello again, Home Skilletz.

Happy New Year!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! :)

My my, 2010 went by so quickly it seems. I still can't really grasp that this is 2011 now... :P My family and I had our annual New Years Eve party last night. It was awesome! My Brother-In-Law, and two Nephews hung out together for most of the night. We started off by playing some awesome Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, then moved on to playing Clue, and Liar's Dice. 8) We were also going to play Poker, but due to some very intense rounds of Liar's Dice, it didn't work out. I own in Liar's Dice. I'm actually surprised at how good I am at it. :P I had started playing it in Red Dead Redemption, and by my second round, I could call a bluff, and not lose any die through a whole game. Awesome, yes?

So anyway, I didn't get to bed until close to 1:30 this morning. Then I had to get up at 6:00, and babysit until 3:30. I started that babysitting job for my Sister and Brother-In-Law. Now, I'm getting $500.00 a month, for at least two months. :D The only thing is, I don't think I'll be able to get my PS3 until the first week in February. :x My Bro-In-Law just doesn't have the money right now, with prices going up on food, and gas. So, of course anyone can understand that. I'm just a little disappointed is all. I was really kind of excited to go out and get a PS3 and the Uncharted games this week, as well as play with you guys on PSN. :( But... patience is a virtue, yes? Whatever. So I will be looking forward to playing with you guys in February. Since they uped the pay for babysitting, I will also be able to get Xbox LIVE soon after my PS3! Possibly a new flat screen TV as well. 8)

My Brother-In-Law also got a PS3 for Christmas, and he got Uncharted 2, so I got to play some of it today. :D It was awesome! Harry Flynn is so cool, though maybe I only think that, cause I know the actor who voices him. :P It's Steve Valentine! He also does Alistair's voice in Dragon Age: Origins. But, Nathan Drake is pretty awesome as well, great sense of humor, and not hard to look at at all. I hate Cloe. :xI really do dislike when they make women like thatin video games. Anyway, I got as far as a small town, where I was suppose to meet up with Cloe. I kind of dont want to play anymore, until I play through the first Uncharted, but it's too much fun! I also got to play some Little Big Planet, and it was pretty cool.

I've beaten Red Dead Redemption since my last blog! :D

I will be writing a review soon! It. Was. Amazing. Simply an amazing game. One of my all time favorites. 8) I really love the storyline. A man who tries to escape his dark past, finally to be set free, yet to be condemned for his wrong doings... John Marston just may be my favorite video game character of all time.

"Don't worry. If I decide to kill you, you'll be the first to know."

Seriously. He's a total bad @$$, yet such a gentleman. He's awesomeness. His quotes are also very cool. 8) Someone who believes in freedom, and is yet willing to pay the price for it. I had such a memorable time playing this game, some experiences I'm positive I'll never forget.
I was *so* shocked by the ending! I kind of new John was going to die... just not like that. :( I cried. :P I suppose he knew the government would never stop hunting him, so he wanted to ensure that his family would be safe. When it first happened, I thought I just didn't kill enough men after John went outside the barn. I tried to do it over, but got the same ending. :P I really don't like Jack at all. Though my friend, Out-Of-Ammo, did make me feel better by telling me about a stranger mission called "Remember My Family". Ah, revenge is bitter sweet! 8)
As I mentioned before, I have been playing the Undead Nightmare expansion to Red Dead Redemption. It's also very awesome! The zombies are so freaky, the noises they make are truly disgusting. :P And I also love being able to carry a torch arond! It makes me feel powerful. 8) I also thought the Flame horse was a nice touch as well. 8) :P I haven't gotten very far story wise. I bought the game Friday, and played that night. Then it stopped working all of a sudden. And it wasn't the Xbox, it was the game. At first, I would load up my save file, then I could play the game for a few minutes, and it would then end up glitching. I finally decided that the save file was corrupted, and deleted it. Well, that didn't work. -_- So then, after I did that, the 360 would not even bring up the game. It would be on the loading screen forever. :x So yesterday I took it out to GameStop to see if I could get a different copy, and the guy just looked at the disc for like two seconds and said my 360 gave it a scratch because I bumped it while it was on. I *did* bump it, but only a little. :x It's not like it fell over for craps sake! So then I had to go to Family Video and get the disc resurfaced. So yeah... not very far into the story... though I am still loving it so far. Not nearly as good as the actual game, but definitely awesome and worth playing.

"Sorry, Sir. But I woulden't have killed you if you hadn't tried to eat me."

I also got quite a few new games for Christmas! A lot of DS games that include A Christmas Carol, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and Diner Dash: Flo on the Go, as well as many others. :P I also got Dragon Age: Origins, Fable II, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, for the Xbox 360. And I got The Metal Gear Solid Collection for the PS2. 8)

I haven't really touched any, except for Dragon Age: Origins. My Brother-In-Law tells me I'm fairly close to the end of the game from where I'm at.

I also got two seasons of Monk for Christmas, so that is what I have been watching. 8)

I suppose you all would like to know what my favorite game of 2010 was? Well, if it's not obvious... :P

Yes, Mass Effect 2! Though Red Dead Redemption is a very close second, mind you!

I didn't mention Hugh Jackman once in this blog! :o Wait... there! :P

Ahem... I'm tired. :P Due to partying late last night, or should I say early this morning.... I think I'm going to play some Undead Nightmare, and retire to bed early tonight. Enough of this blog!

Laters, and thank you for reading!

The Greatest Time Of Year

Hello again, Home Skilletz!

And Happy late Birthday to Slyfur! My best friend, as well as sister here on GameSpot. 8) I hope you're 16th Birthday was awesome, sis! ;)

I'm so sorry I couldn't wish you a happy birthday earlier, Fur. I had started writing this blog last night, but then I hit the submit button, and then the stupid internet goes out. :x My whole blog was lost! So, I was mad and didn't even try to write it again. So, here I am tonight...

One week from today is Christmas Eve! Ack! I'm not even done with my Christmas shopping yet! I went out today, and got most of it done, now I only have my sister, and Dad left to buy for. Almost done! It's also been snowing here all week! I love it, it's beautiful! And of course my Mom has been making some amazing Christmas cookies and candies, all of which I have sampled. :P Our house is completely decked out for Christmas, it looks awesomeness! I would take some pictures so guys guys could see, but it's been so cold out lately, there is no way in heck I'm going out there. :P

I was in St. Louis all day Saturday, shopping. It was so much fun! :)

Since my last blog, I've seen a lot of movies. Most of them are Hugh Jackman movies, mind you. :P I've been buying them whenever I see them, and so far I've gotten:

The Prestige

Kate & Leopold

Including all of the X-Men films. Awesome, no? 8)

The Prestige is really cool. I seen it a while back, and really didn't like it that much at all. I thought it was very confusing, but then that was only because I watched it once. It's far superior a second time through. 8) Now, I don't think it's Hugh Jackman's best film yet, though a very good one. Australia is very cool as well. It's set during World War II, so I was instantly attracted to it. It was kind of ironic to see an Australian, playing an Australian, in a movie called Australia. :P Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman alike. Kate & Leopold is you're typical romantic comedy, though a well played one. It's not mushy at all, and it's quite charming actually. I find it funny, because Liev Schreiber who playes Hugh Jackman's brother in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, plays Hugh's great great grandson in Kate & Leopold. It was odd seeing them in a comedy together, after seeing Wolverine first. :P Sadly, these are the only Hugh Jackman movies I've managed to find. I did see a Hugh Jackman movie called Deception, but it was only on Blu-Ray. :x I've also just seen today, he injured himself doing a surprise stunt at the Opera show in Australia! He was on a zip line, and jumped from the Sydney Opera House, and was suppose to land safely on the stage. But, he didn't hit the break in time, and slammed into one of the hanging stage lights! I seen the video, and it really looked like it hurt. Poor Hugh! :P

Alright, enough talking about Hugh Jackman... for now. :P

Since my last blog, I've also finished Dead Space! I really liked the game, but the ending is terrible! I think I'm over how much it disturbed me... but it was just so shocking. :P I'm only playing through it once more, to finish getting all of the achievements. I've about 20 more or so to get. Now I suppose I'll have to play Dead Space 2... -_- I wrote a review, so go check it out! :) I've also been achievement hunting in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I've still got 8 more achievements to get inWolverine, and about 14 more in Brotherhood. But 10 of those Brotherhood achievements can only be unlocked online mind you. :x

I also got Red Dead Redemption today!

I had rented it a while back, when it first came out, and really did like. So I bought it today at GameStop. I didn't think $30 was a bad price at all. 8) John Marston is so cool! You know, despite being... old. :P He may be one of my favorite video game characters!

Right now I'm on my way to Mexico, still going after Williams. I'm really enjoying Red Dead so far, and I only hope it gets better!

A few days ago, I voted in all the categories for the Game of the Year awards! I think I voted for Mass Effect 2, and Red Dead Redemption in every category I could. :P Though I haven't finished Red Dead Redemption yet, I really do love it. It is an amazing game. As is Mass Effect 2, which I have played through mutipul times, mind you. And to be honest, I really don't mind which game wins Game of the Year. Just as long as Mass Effect 2, or Red Dead Redemption wins, I'll be happy. 8)

Well, I think that is about it for me tonight. I want to go get a shower, and play some more awesome Red Dead before I go to bed. :P I'm not for sure if this will be my last blog before Christmas, it all depends on how busy I am. But I will definitely be posting again soon for the Holiday! :)

Laters, and thank you for reading!

Yours In Eternity,

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Hello, Home Skilletz. :)

Can you believe two weeks from this Saturday is Christmas? I can't! There is so much yet to do to get ready, time is going by way to fast for my liking this year. :P Not that I don't like being busy, not at all, it helps to kill the anticipation of waiting for Christmas to get here. :P But, I *would* like to have some time to sit down and relax, and play a game. My Mom has been making Christmas cookies, and candies for our party this year, as always. I love still living at home, cause then I get to sample all of these wonderful things. :P Been listening to some classic Christmas as well. 8) Hence, my blog title. I love that song. :D Right next to White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, and of course all the 50's Christmas songs. 8) We've also been watching a lot of Christmas movies as well. My favorite being White Christmas. Closely fallowed by Christmas Carol, Santa Clause, The Grinch, etc. :P

It's been snowing a lot here too! :D I love it! It's only been getting up in the teens for the high as well. :P So it's been very cold here!

So, I don't think I have anything much to talk about, just in the mood to blog I suppose.

Well, lets start with last week, shall we?

I finally got to see Iron Man 2. I liked though I'm sad to say, it was no where near as good as the first. The story just felt like it was lacking something. I'm definitely going to get it though, when I have the money. :) I've also got to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine! :D God, I seriously think it's my favorite movie ever, right next to Return of the King. I'm not the biggest X-Men fan, the first three movies were pretty cool, but Origins just completely blows them away. 8)

I absolutely love it! 8) I really liked being able to see how Wolverine got his claws, as well as how he got the adimantium inside him. The beginning of the movie is epic, you see he was in all of the major wars, such as the Civil War, Revolutionary War, World War I, World War II. It's very cool. And he has a Bother! I think the beginning of the movie is sad, as well as the ending. It was kind of weird to see Logan before he lost his memory, he was such a different person. I liked him. He wasen't a fighter at all, and he actually loved someone. I know that kind of sounds funny :P, but if you've seen the first three X-Men movies, then you know what I mean. My favorite part is definitely when Logan is brought to Alkali Lake, and gets the adimantium. 8) The scene was so intense, it was awesome. And of course, when Logan and Gambit go to 'The Island', where the movie leads up to the final fight, was awesome all the way. I also thought it was pretty cool, in the beginning of the movie, when Team X was in Africa, it showed of of the Teams powers. Wade was awesome, as well as Zero, but I didn't like Zero at all in the rest of the movie. I think the funniest part was when Kayla tells Logan the story about Kuakuatsu gathering roses for the moon, and he doesn't take it seriously at all. He's like "Wow, Kuku the chew got screwed." Wolverine. 8) The music is also very epic. I was surprised at how much I loved the music, then I realized that the composer was Harry Gregson Williams! :o He is awesome. 8)

I've gotten my Mom to watch it, and she loves it. Which is a good thing, because I got her a copy for Christmas. :P I also got my oldest sister to watch it, and she *loves* it, maybe more than I do... wait, that's not possible. :P I spent Sunday with her, and my nephew. We had some pizza, then we watched Wolverine. She loved it *so* much, she went out and bought it right after the movie was over. :P She really likes Hugh Jackman, but I've already told her he was mine. And dang, she was saying things about him I was only brave enough to think. So anyways, we went to three places looking for it, and the first two didn't have it. :x So she ended up getting the movie at Wal Mart, and we watched it again that night when we got back home. 8) I'm actually surprised she liked it that much. :P

Oh, and Wolverine's quote:

"I'm the best at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice."

Is epicness. 8)

I also got the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game for the 360. It's pretty cool, I finished it last night. Not near as good as the film, but I still really liked it. I've also finally gotten to try out Halo Reach. I'm actually surprised at much I like it, cause I just coulden't get into Halo 3. But so far Reach is cool. I'm only on the second mission, and the game has to go back tonight. :P So yeah, I probably wont get to play it for a while again. Im thinking about renting Fable III this time around, I've played Fable IIand thought it was awesome. But I've heard Fable III is just Fable II on steroids? So I'm not for sure what to do yet. :P I might just rent Splinter Cell Conviction, I havent played it forever.

I haven't been playing much of Brotherhood either since my second playthrough. :( I don't know why... though I did finish all of the Lair of Romulas and found all the feathers, as well as all the Borgia flags around Rome. I have been playing more a Dead Space, I've gotten to Chapter 10 out of 12 thank God. -_- That dang regenerater came back, so... I put off playing it for the past week. :P I'll get back to it though, I want to beat it before Dead Space 2 comes out next month.

I *almost* have enough money for Xbox LIVE! :D Then Slyfur and I will finally have our Brotherhood duel. 8) Though I think we all know who will win... :P

I've been thinking though... since I have to buy the wireless network adaptor for my 360, and still buy a hardrive, woulden't it make more sense just to get the new 360 with Wifi and a 4 gig hardrive? I mean, since I would be spending the same amount either way. So yeah, not sure what to do there, if I could have you're opinion, then great. :)

I'm also still saving for my PS3, I'll have it in a few more weeks. :D I'm so excited! I'll be able to play with most of my GS friends now, on 360 and PS3. :)

Well, I don't really have much else to talk about... I don't think...nah.

Thank you for reading this pretty much pointless blog. :P

Yours In Eternity,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, Home Skilletz! :D

Hey everyone! Long time no see! I've been very busy these past few weeks since my last blog. I always have so much to do around the Holidays, but I love it! :D This past week, my family and I have been decorating for Christmas! It's been so much fun, and we put up our Christmas tree last night, while making some Thanksgiving goodies! :D My family and I are having a massive party today, like every Thanksgiving. It's going to be so much fun, I can't wait! My Mom and Dad are making some dressing, pink salad, pumpkin pie, apple pie, everything you can possibly on Thanksgiving. :D I'm also sampling some of this amazing food, and watching the Macie's Thanksgiving Day Parade while typing this blog. 8)

I can't believe Christmas is NEXT MONTH!

Dang, time goes by so fast! I've only gotten a few presents bought! But, my sisters and I are going out on Black Friday shopping for the family like we always do! :D We are thinking about going to Walmart after our party tonight, and staying there all night until the sales start at 4:00 AM. 8) Then of course try and make it out to Khols, Old Navy, K-Mart, Shopko, etc. Ahh, I love this time of year. 8)

Anyone else have any plans for today? :)

What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for my amazing family and friends, for all the things I'm blessed to have, and of course video games! :D :P

You thought I was going to write a whole blog without mentioning it, didn't you?

Well, I wasn't about to write this blog with out talking about the awesomeness of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood! 8)

Well, I finished Brotherhood the night after it was released. The same as Assassin's Creed II. 8) I've finished it twice now, infact. It's nothing less than amazing.

I went out to get it right after GameStop opened. :P I got the Collector's Edition, as well as the CE guide book. 8) I got tons of awesome stuff with it, including the new Assassin's Creed comic for reserving Brotherhood. So yeah, I got home close to 11:00, and played it from then, until like, 6:30 that night!

The music is amazing. I was worried that I would be disappointed after Assassin's Creed II's music was so awesome. The story is just fantastic, as it is mind blowing! I love how they continue Ezio's story into Rome. And the ending, oh my gawd. The ending is flipping epic. I hate cliffhangers, though. -_- The free roaming has also improved. You can now take you're horses into the city! 8) The only thing is, you can't plow down people with you're horses anymore. You can't even gallop in the city. -_- Oh well, give and take, right?

Another thing that is really cool, you can recruit Assassins! Hence the name, Brotherhood? 8) You can level up each Assassin to level 10, at which point they then become a Master Assassin and join in rank with Ezio. They are very useful in fights, and when you need to take out a target quickly, and silently. One of the things I love doing while riding in the city, is calling an arrow storm down on guards. And of course, hijacking a guard's horse. 8) The Christina and War Machine Missions are by far, my favorites! Definitely my favorite game of 2010!

I wrote review, which was recommended by 16 out of 18 people. :D If you would check it out, I would appreciate it! :)

Well my friends, I must get ready for our family party! :)

I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, and hope you all have a wonderful time today!

Laters, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours In Eternity,

And So, Life Goes On

Hello Home Skilletz. :)

Man, I just realized I only posted two blogs In October...

I guess I've just had nothing interesting to talk about, so this will probably be yet another short, and pointless blog. :P

I can't believe it's only two short weeks until Thanksgiving! Time really flies, doesn't it? More so this past year. Everything is going by so quickly, I'm not sure if I like it. :P Christmas is next month, then New Years... 2010 is quickly coming to a close. I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet! :P

My Halloween went well. :) If you remember, I told I was dressing up a little bit this year, and it turned out, my Brother-In-Law, my two nephews, and myself were all wearing black capes for Halloween! :P It was awesome. I didn't really go trick or treating this year, but what candy I did get, I just dug out all of the Hershey Chocolates, and gave the rest the my nieces and nephews. They were very happy of my generosity. :P Oh, and my hair turned out awesome! No kylts, it did not turn yellow. :P I thought about posting a picture, then decided against it. :P

Then, Saturday my family and I went out to Siloam Springs, our State Park. We usually go every year, but didn't last year. We just couldn't get a week where everyone could go. But thankfully, this year turned out differently. :) We had a picnic, went hiking through the woods, played some games, then ate some more. :P It was so much fun! My sister had found these giant marshmallows, I mean they were huge! So I dared one of my nephews, AltairLover, to stick the whole marshmallow in his mouth, and he did! It was hilarious! I wish I'd gotten a picture, but I wasn't thinking of it at the time. After we ate, my sister and some of my nieces and nephews went on our own trail. We just started walking, then went down this really steep hill, and couldn't get back up. :P So we just kept walking for a while. There we so many fallen trees, and branches, etc. We were jumping all over them, sliding under them, jumping over gaps, sliding down hills. I felt like Altair, or Ezio. 8) It was awesome. We eventually decided we should try and climb up the revine, because it just wouldn't end. We ended up having to literally crawl up the hill, it was so steep. We found a log to help the way up a little easier, but still. :P It was fun. :)

This is my sister's dog, Cloe. And yes, those are my feet. :P

Here are some of my nieces and nephews running for the camp when they heard we had giant marshmallows waiting there. :P

Here you go, a picture of me! Yes, I know. I'm short. Yes, I know. I'm wearing a beanie.

And no. I'm not the little girl in the pink coat.

Here's my other sister's dog, Lucy. I swear, some of those leaves out there were bigger than she was!

Here is Cloe again, resting after our little trek through the woods. :P

So, this is what I did this past week. 8)

I started playing through Assassin's Creed I, and II again, once more before Brotherhood comes out next week. I've finished my play through in the first Assassin's Creed, and to my surprise, got an achievement! :o I got Conversationalist, for talking to Lucy after each Animus sequence. 8) I had actually thought I had already gotten that achievement, but apparently not. :P Playing through Assassin's Creed again has seemed to awaken my love for Altair once more. Please, don't hurt me for saying that, Fur! :PI just can't decide who I think is the better Assassin anymore... Altair and Malik are both awesome. 8) I love that they became friends by the end of the game. Anyway, I only have 9 achievements left to get, and those are for collecting all of the flags in the game. I think I'll need the guide book for that. :P I've started playing Assassin's Creed II again, as well. I've just gotten to Forli, and am going to meet up with Leonardo.

I haven't really been playing much of anything else. I haven't played Dead Space for almost 3 weeks. So yes, I am still on Chapter 8. :P I started playing Spirit Tracks again, and got past where I was stuck, thanks to Slyfur and Courtney817. :) But not much further. So yeah, pretty much all about Assassin's Creed right now. 8)

Oh, I seen some of my friends posting their Top 3 Favorite Game Endings, so here are mine. :D

#1 Assassin's Creed II

#2 Mass Effect 2 (Would be number one if Assassin's Creed wasn't my favorite game series. :x)

#3 Shadow of the Colossus

So... Friday night, my sister and brother-in-law are going to come over for dinner, and we're going to play Poker! 8) I have actually never played a Poker game before. Kylts will tell you that. ;) So I'm looking forward to it. And Saturday, my Mom, Dad, and some family friends are going to Macomb for some shopping. :D Maybe then I can finally get some Christmas shopping done. Every time we go to Macomb, we always eat at Godfather's Pizza. 8) It's definitely one of my favorite places to eat.

Ahh. Well, I guess this didn't turn out to be a short blog after all. :P

This might be the last time I write before Brotherhood comes out, then you might not see me for a very long time. :P

Oh, before I take my leave, a lot of you guys said the picture of Zigg from my Halloween blog looked kind of evil, So here is what Zigg looks like most of the time. :D Most of the time, mind you. :P

Yours In Eternity,

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween, Home Skilletz! :)

Anyone have plans for tonight?

I do! My family always has a big Halloween party! :D It's always a blast, we all dress up, take the kids out trick or treating, come back to the house, eat, have a party and a good time. :) My parents are making the chili right now, and I'm going to make some pumpkin dessert later. :D I can't wait until tonight! I always ware a cape on Halloween, black of course. 8) This year, I found a medieval dress to ware with it, and my sister is going to do my hair, you know, dress it up, for tonight. :D It's going to look awesome!

On Friday morning, my sister came over and had some coffee with my Mom and I, and she had brought some Halloween costumes over to put on our cats! :P It's was hilarious! One of my cats, Zigg, was really ticked that we were dressing him up, he was growling and hissing. :P Here are some pictures! :P :)

Frodo is one the left, and Zigg is one the right.

This is my sister's cat, Oreo dressed up as Dracula. :P

Sorry the first two pictures are small, we had to take them with a cell phone, because my camera kept dying. :P

Tuesday I got Star Wars Force Unleashed II Collector's Edition. :D I was a little disappointed, there wasn't alot of stuff that came with it for the price I paid for it. But, I still really liked the game. I went out to get it shortly after GameStop opened, then got home and started playing it a little after 11:00. I finished the game at about 6:30 that night. :P That's a record for me. It wasn't very long at all, but the graphics were beautiful, and the voice acting was perfect. The story was really good as well, I was very pleased with the ending. Though I must play through it again, there are two different endings to the game, and I chose the Light side ending. I'll have to find out what happens when I do a Dark side play through. There were also some new challenges and new moves in the game, which I really liked. I wrote a review, in which got a lot of good feedback, I was surprised. :P If you would check it out, I would appreciate it. :) I would post a link, but I'm not sure how. :P

17 more days until Assassin's Creed Brotherhood! :D I can't believe it! :P I love being able to say that. Brotherhood is probably going to be my favorite game for this year, if it's not, which I highly doubt, then Mass Effect 2 definitely is. 8)

Oh, I finished reading Halt's Peril, and it was excellent! I think it's the best Ranger's Apprentice book so far, I can't wait for the next book! :)

Well, I don't really have anything else to write about. :P Oh, and I just haven't been in the mood to write, so that is why you haven't seen my story yet. Maybe sometime soon I'll find the time to get back to writing it. :) Sorry for the short blog.

Laters, and Happy Halloween!
