"But for most gamers, video games represent a loss of those precious hours we have available to make ourselves more cultured, civilised and empathetic.” ...I think that should have been 'but for most NON-gamers, video games represent'...I don't often hear (though I occasionally do) gamers complaining about video games being a loss of time, especially not a loss of time when they could become more "cultured, civilised, and empathetic". But I bet in a decade or so, some video games will be considered art, just like some movies are considered art and some aren't. However, I've never really gotten "art", (partly because it seems to be a lot about notoriety, I bet Duchamp's "Fountain" [the urinal] would not have been taken seriously if he was a new artist), but to me anything man made is art, most things just aren't "good enough" to be considered
ArmedandPissed "So much fighting about the graphics, yet the PC blows both of them out of the water for almost about the same price..." 'for almost about the same price'? well that statement is a joke
I have a 360, but I think the graphics on the ps3 pics look better, but at the same time I like the sky more in the 360 but maybe that's just difference in the time of day the pics were taken. And why do people have to turn everything into a console war? The game looks fantastic on both systems
