[QUOTE="btpcheater"]Actually, that really doesn't give a time. That is just saying that he will update us by 2am PSTSqueets

Oh DAMN!

That's right it could be longer :( NOOOO!!! I NEED LIVE to stay awake... if I go to sleep now I won't be able to wake up and go to school in the morning!!! NOOO!OO!O!O

Right, it also means it could be a lot sooner. I get the feeling that he doesn't actually know when it will be back up, which makes sense. We'll se in the next hour and a half.

Hopefully it comes up before I go to bed, I'm looking forward to downloading Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

[QUOTE="waynehead895"]I hate how I have to play songs I don't like about 6 times in order to progress through the game.zombiejonny

You don't. Just play the Challenge mode. You can unlock all of the songs that way. And if you don't want to do that, then just cheat and get all the songs from the get-go.

yeah but some people like me want all the achievements and when you play the world tour mode you have to play the songs a dozen times each which gets annoying

I played through World Tour mode on the first game and I'm playing through it again on Rock Band 2 (with a couple of different bands). I know what you're talking about, however, if the object is to get all of the points, then can you really complain about repetition? Most achievmenents make you do things that maybe you wouldn't normally do, so how is this different?

Besides, most real bands end up playing the same songs over and over and over, day in and day out. That's the life of a touring rock band. With the DLC, RB1 songs and the new RB2 songs, I haven't noticed too much repetition. Sure I have to play a few songs more than once, but if they didn't repeat songs then the World Tour mode would be an hour long.

It's NiGHTS not KNiGHTS. :)

Anyway, I played the game at E3 this year and was pleasantly surprised. I am a HUGE fan of the original, but have been skeptical about this sequel. I don't think it will be embraced like the original, but I think it will still be a solid game. What they showed at E3 was impressive.

Awesome pics of the events. But personally I hate all of these little events by each publisher. IMO, and E3 type of event of years past was much better. I really only see QuakeCon and maybe BlizzCon as the two special events of the year...other than that...go back to E3 format.ice_radon

Well, I agree and disagree with you at the same time. Even with E3 there would still be these little events, the companies want coverage all year round, not just in May (or July, as it was this year). Activision was at E3, they showed off a number of games, so this is just another event they are holding for the press. I like these because they pay for the media to fly down, stay in a hotel, cover their games, and then fly back. I went to E3 this year, as well as PAX and GDC, and I still enjoy these small events for 30 or 40 media people.

A couple days ago I attended the Activision media event (the one they had for Tony Hawk's proving ground, The Bee Movie and Spider-Man Friend or Foe). This was the same event GameSpot covered (hence the coverage on the front page). While there I decided to take a few pictures, nothing special, but some may find it interesting nonetheless. If you look closely you'll even see a few GameSpot employees. Enjoy.

[QUOTE="jiffysniffy"]no original games? have you looked at the upcoming releases? God of war. Syphon filter. monster hunter 2. dead head fred. star wars battlefront.canerac1234

How can you say that God of war for the psp is original? its a port from the ps2 version, syphon filter was a sequel from a ps1 game, monster hunter games are already availiable on the ps2 and so is battlefront.

the only original game that you named is dead head fred.

Actually, God of War is NOT a port of the PS2 game. It's a brand new game. Then again, nobody expected you to do your research.

And no, Syphon Filter 2 is not the same Syphon Filter 2 that is on the PS1. Again. Do the research. It's not that hard, you can check out the game space at GameSpot by simply typing in the names. It's that easy.

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 on the PSP is not the same Monster Hunter game on the PS2. By your rationale the new Zelda game on the DS is exactly the same as the one on the Wii or GameCube.

Also, if the PSP is dead then why is it outselling the Xbox 360? If the PSP is outselling the Xbox 360, then wouldn't that mean the Xbox 360 is also dead?

such a fanboy comment.

i meant it was dead because not much things were beingmade for it you plum

I own a Nintendo DS and a PSP, I'm certainly not a fanboy.

I played a ton of great PSP games at E3 last month (Syphon Filter 2, Pursuit Force 2, Jeanne D'Arc, God of War, SOCOM, etc. etc. etc.), and I played one great DS game at E3 (Zelda). That's it. You can go ahead and call me a fanboy all you want, but that's not going to change the fact that you don't really know what you're talking about. Let's not forget, you think that God of War, Syphon Filter and Battlefront are all ports when just a few seconds of research would tell you otherwise.

Oh ... one more thing. Go read how many PSP games GameSpot gave an 8.0 or higher to. Then, just for fun, go read how many Nintendo DS games GameSpot gave an 8.0 or higher to. I think you'll be surprised by the results.

Yes, BTW if anyone has Shinobi 3 impression, I want to hear them :) Is it as good as shadow dancer?gaminggeek

It's WAY better. Shinobi III is one of the best 16-bit games of all time. If you have a PS2 or PSP you really should go pick up the Sega Genesis Collection, there are like 30 games for $20, it's a MUCH better deal than paying $8 per game on the Virtual Console.
