When I start the game in dx 10/11 the screen just goes black but the game launches fine. The music plays, and the in-game cursor appears, and I can hear the click of the main menu buttons being highlighted, but there's no graphics other than the cursor. On DX 9, the game plays fine. I've already verified the cache, I can't think of any other ideas. Anyone else have similar problems?
I'm running a GTX 660, and play other games in DX 10/11 fine.

To me, its simply because there is very little loading on the DS cartridge games as compared to the PSP's discs. Handhelds should not have loading times, period. Thus, the DS is a better handheld.

I don't consider people who play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3 "casuals". You can put it any way you want, but the truth is, gamers have moved on, and expect a little more fun and a bit less chores when it comes to games. If you don't like it, then thats fine, just stop whining so much. Everyday theres a new thread about "the casuals". Just because a franchise evolves, doesn't mean that its bad.

Everyone knows that Half Life is a carbon copy of DOOM, and Half Life 2 is a carbon copy of Halo, end of discussion.

In my opinion, Oblivion is a stellar game, and is a great ROLE-playing game, but not a great RPG...

In other words, I enjoy making different characters (stealth, magic, fighter), but the actual "leveling-up" side to the game is a bit of a letdown. Just my two cents, still one of my all time favsies though...

[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"]

No the sad thing is games like Killzone 2 (9.0) and Farcry 2 (8.5) among others score very well compared to the quality (in some cases poor) of the game. While Bioshock 2 is a fantastic game and only scores an 8.5 (not saying 8.5 is a bad score).

Skittles_McGee

Why is it sad that Killzone 2 scored a 9? :|

Killzone 2 deserved the 9, and I also take issue with Far Cry 2, it was a really good game. I do agree with the BioShock score though.

It needed more Sander Cohen. Or the surgeon guy. In fact, there was no real "freaky-evil" person in the game, other than Lamb, and she was more misguided than freaky. Rapture was much cooler in the original. That said, BioShock 2 was still a great game, just not as memorable.

The first one was.... special. But the sequel is looking to improve in major areas, and the more I see, the more I get cautiously optimistic. I hope the naysayers in this thread are proven wrong, but we'll see.

I love both Katarn and Dash Rendar. In fact, most Star Wars games that invent a character seems to be really good, if only there were more... (Actually I don't know if the book or game came first in Dash's case...)
