@sdecker425:

Yeah...if you guys could stop putting words in my mouth, that would be great! I merely stated an observation I've made based on what I've seen reading articles concerning Destiny on this and other sites. I do enjoy the game though. I have no issue admitting that and I couldn't care less what people think about that. I just find it amusing that so many people get so riled up every time a Destiny article is published.

Anyway, have fun getting all upset over a game you don't like. It's not like it's my time getting wasted! :D

@88mikelll: Who said anything about what you can and can't do? Like you said, you can do whatever you want. And by that same token, I'm free to think it's stupid to comment and read articles about games you clearly don't like/hate.

It always makes me laugh that the only people who tend to comment on Destiny articles are the people who claim to hate Destiny.

Maybe I'm weird but I don't tend to read every article and comment about games I don't like.

@sicness277 Except GT6 apparently has most if not all of the biggest glaring flaws of GT5's physics engine. There are huge threads on GTPlanet talking about GT6's problems compared to racers like Forza 4 and 5, which are both considered to be more realistic in those threads.

And neither Gran Turismo nor Forza are on the same level as PC sims like iRacing and rFactor so no, GT6 is not the "closest to life driving sim we've ever had". Not even close.

@Good-Smurf@OmegaGear@fast2ghl

"Their games are good and everything but after Forza 2 they stopped being a direct competitor to GT their games are more and more towards the arcade racing.

You can compare the two but can't deny the fact that Forza are now more arcady and fun while GT is more into the subtlety of driving,history and passion behind it and its soundtrack proved that."

You GT fans need to stop trying to perpetuate this myth. Forza is not at all arcadey. Not one bit and Forza 4 is more realistic than Gran Turismo 5 and 6. Turn 10 is passionate about cars. They are the ones who take the time to meticulously model each and every one of their cars inside and out rather than settling for 800+ uprezzed versions of cars from a nearly decade old game. They're the ones who have taken the time to record proper engine and tire squeal sounds rather than relying on audio from the PS1 era. They're the ones who realize that quality is more important than quantity, which is why all of Forza's tracks are so beautifully detailed whereas the ones in Gran Turismo are stale and bland.

In the PS2 era, I would've agreed with you that Polyphony Digital is passionate about cars and Gran Turismo but this generation, they've done nothing but half-ass the Gran Turismo series at every turn, throwing in as many features as they can to have more boxes to check on the back of the package and leading to inconsistent quality.

The biggest joke I've ever seen is Polyphony Digital calling themselves "perfectionists". Ridiculous. A perfectionist would not have such a massive disparity between Premium and Standard cars. A perfectionist wouldn't have the two tiers to begin with.

@mapulaproasta If you're going to call someone an idiot, make sure you don't make yourself look like an idiot by not realizing that Forza 4 shipped with over 500 cars out of the box.

@mapulaproasta Oh, you mean late braking? The racing technique? Wow, thank you for proving just how realistic Forza is since it allows you to pull that off.

And no, I'm not bullshitting. If I have to change the stock tires to get the game to properly simulate something a car would do in real life, that means there's something wrong with the game's simulation, dipshit.

You sound like all those folks making excuses for Gran Turismo's mediocre tire model. "Oh, but if you use the 1500bhp Red Bull X1 and launch in 3rd gear, it'll fishtail!" So you have to get the most powerful car in the game and launch in the wrong gear to get something that can be seen in a real life (and Forza) Miata? Give me a break. You guys are such clowns.

@cjlebron Or, they could've fixed the grind without adding microtransactions. They even dumbed it down from GT5 after they added in the seasonal events which gave you huge 200k+ payouts. So now, with the grind being every bit as bad as GT5's was at the outset but with added microtransactions, it just smacks of poor taste.

@mapulaproasta Forza 4 has more than 500 cars out of the box. Get your facts straight before mouthing off about a game you obviously know very little about.
