I finally beat the main game last week. It had the best final boss in the franchise in my opinion. The final phase was just the perfect kind of cinematic candy the game needed.

I put over 140 hours in before going to the final fight. I’d like to go back to do some more side quests once I am off my N64 kick.

One system that I have been fascinated with lately is the N64. So many awesome, niche titles, prime Rare titles, great FPSs, top-notch platformers, and a lot of hidden gems that few people talk about these days but still hold up for their oddity of experience.

It’s certainly not the best console, not even Nintendo’s best by any stretch of the imagination, but it is becoming one of my favorites for playing the early 3D games, especially considering I mainly played PS1 during that era.

Good to see the Zelda franchise finally begin to sell as well as its quality deserves. Nice that Animal Crossing has reached astronomical numbers too. New Horizons was an event in 2020. And man, all the Pokémon games together equal to 99+ million in software sales on Switch. Crazy numbers.

Switch at this point, but I understand why others are also saying “PC.”

I am open to all the possibilities.

Maybe they’re inter-dimensional creatures that, sometimes, “crossover” into our realm, either intentionally or unintentionally due to some phenomena that we do not understand.

Maybe they’re spiritual beings that use physical means for whatever reason, and perhaps they also can take on physical forms.

It could be all fake, but I believe that people have seen evidence for many years, and I have no reason to doubt every single one of the accounts that people have given, including people in this thread. I don’t want to be quick to discount people’s experiences. I hope we will get clear answers one day, hopefully within my lifetime. These hearings might be a step in the right direction towards that goal.

Got a Nintendo 64 with Banjo-Tooie and Donkey Kong 64. My father-in-law also hooked me up with an old 13-inch CRT tv. I now have a ton of N64 games on my wishlist. I never was able to appreciate the system fully when I had one as a kid. Now its niche library, Nintendo titles, and Rare titles appeal to me more than the PS1.

Still loving the game. 120+ hours in. Just finished the final dungeon (Zora). I have so many side quests to complete. Found all the light roots and have exactly one dozen shrines left.

I want to work on shrines and side quests before “finishing” the game because I know that once I beat the final boss, I’ll feel “done” with the game and will want to move on, but I don’t want to move on, haha.
