@lemmingslayer: that's a opinion but Xbox one does have some good games . Sunset Overdrive , gears 4 and FH3 are great games just of the top of my head. How would I play Ori if I only had a PS4 . IJS if you don't like the games OK but to say that no games on the system are good is crazy

At this point isn't buying a PC capable of gaming the same thing as having a Xbox . What is the difference between me buying a HP desktop with or without the xbox brand name on the side? MS gets some money for the use of Xbox name that that the company offloads onto the price of the box itself . Everything it sounds like you are suggesting would just be a PC but just limited and not as good . Unless doing all this would mean significant price reduction on the boxes which I cant see why it would

I think people constantly miss the fact that its just good to have options . If you have a PS4 and and PC yeah it no reason to have a Xbox . Which MS is fine with but if you don't have a PC then you can have a X1 and PS4 and be fine . If everyone has a PC or wants to play on PC then the X1 would be useless but sorry not everyone is on or want to play on PC even though its the best technically

Point is to me that over 50 million can mean anything . Ive seen the OP say they do not think its as low as 10 million but says it can't be over 20 cause if it was they would put 60. Is that really the all the evidence you need to know its not over 20 lol. Then the OP says "well" below 20 what number could that be ?

All this makes me think is why can't they try to go after both sides. If your a console gamer you don't play on PC and vice versa. If you do have both just get the games on pc and be happy lol

According to Turn 10, the conversion from Xbox One's DX11.x API to an alpha version of DX12 took four man-months to achieve, with some features of the existing console API migrating across to PC, while other elements (thanks PC Perspective for the shot) - such as "pipeline state objects" and the "resource binding model" will make their way across to Xbox One.

We haven’t had the time to get deep into it yet, but there are some upcoming events we’re going to participate that will show some of the potential of it,” game’s director Andrea Basilio said to GamingBolt. “It should be noted that the custom DX11 API of Xbox One partly incorporate some future DX12 features already, and they’re mostly performance related.

”Read more at http://gamingbolt.com/ride-dev-dx12-will-bring-in-slight-benefit-for-xbox-one-current-api-already-has-some-dx12-features#UK0y6j0PqTqu1ut2.99

I'm not sure you should use some of these quotes to prove that DX12 has been on Xbox One all along. If you read the quotes carefully, you will see things like "will make their way across to Xbox One" or "partly incorporate" which would hint that more is to come. I am in no way saying DX12 can turn the XB1 into a high end PC or anything. But I wouldn't use these quotes as evidence that the Xbox One has no room to grow thanks to DX12.

I know you choose to only comprehend the parts of these quotes that help your argument though, so I'm just wasting my time here.

pretty much how I feel tbh . I don't think many believe it will be a huge power increase pass the ps4. We know a lot of the DX12 features are already in use on Xbox one but they do have more coming. Point a minor power increase will eventually come can we move on

Well I think its easy to tell if you think about the good looking games already on the opposing console( PS4 apparently ) like Uncharted and Horizon. For the most part you would be hard pressed to find a (X1) user wouldn't want that game and wouldn't hype it if it was on its console. So a game like QB that looks to be on the level of the PS4 hard hitters would be hyped on any console or platform but would like Uncharted and Horizon have a few detractors here and there

@TigerSuperman: Better question, does Sony have anything coming out this holiday season AAA game to back that up? If not, then there's no way PS4 will reach $35 million.

They have more than they have last year, starting this month. They did 5.6 million Possibly 6 if you include all of august, till the end of the year.

They'; be at 25 million by august, so 25+6 would be 31, they would only need to sell 3 million and some change next to that 3, in order to be able to make it to 35.

They have a ton of marketing deals WW, Uncharted Collection, and a potential price drop.

IF MS has a chance to get over 20, then Sony would have to easily beat them otherwise, you're saying the XB will close the gap WW (not just NA) this next 5 month strip.

Last year during the holidays MS, did over 3 million. Over 4 million including the same months. PS4 sold over 2 million more WW during that stretch. Yeah the big push in NA helped that.

But now PS4's has an even bigger presence, with tons of game marketing, Xbox One will probably easily do 5 + million this 5 month strip if not more, PS4 has to be ahead, why do you think it won't be 35 million unless Sony actually gets a penalty for not having games in NA so much that NA almost alone, combied with RTW passes the PS4?

Who brought up Xbox one and them getting over 20 million though just curious how that came up
