I'm looking for games that are all about adventure, exploration, and ancient secrets and the like. I love history and archaeology, so I'm looking for anything that could strike you as Indiana Jones-esque. It doesn't have to be a perfect match for the treasure hunting genre, but I like games about adventuring and exploring and games that at least have some loose connection to treasure hunting. Here's some of my favorites, to show you what I mean:

Uncharted series

Tomb Raider series

Deadfall Adventures

Assassins Creed series (All about history, hunting for the Pieces of Eden, etc.)

Far Cry series (Far Cry 1 and 3 have ruins all over the islands, and you can hunt relics in Far Cry 3)

Amnesia: The Dark Descent (SPOILER ALERT, protagonist is an archaeologist, once he remembers)

Just Cause 2 (lots of ruins and temples on the island)

Dead Island Riptide (same thing, there's ruins on the island. It's a stretch, but I do love the open island exploration mechanic)

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood (protagonists are hunting Aztec gold)

The Saboteur (another stretch, but there's a mission that implies you're transporting the Lost Ark of the Covenant, like Indiana Jones)

Most fantasy games, I got those (Skyrim and the like all have ancient ruins and stuff)

And, obviously, LEGO Indiana Jones and stuff

So, if that gives you an idea of what I'm looking for, games that could be even loosely described as adventurer, treasure hunting games and such, I'd really like to know. Thank you!

there needs to be an fps with a theme similar to uncharted - you run around shooting graverobbers with an interesting historical storyline tied into all the modern action. this has a lot of possibilities because pretty much any guns could be used and it would avoid the generic military theme. also, you could add some survival elements to it like the upcoming far cry 3. jungle exploration, ancient temples, modern FPS, I think it sounds cool.
