The Fable games just keeps getting progressively worse, this definitely looks like the last nail in the coffin for this once decent series. What a shame!
Wow, this is the kind of game I silently root for! A sandbox game set in Hong Kong, with what should be a great story, I hope this game can deliver!
But somewhere deep down inside, I don't want to get too excited cause in the words of the immortal Luke Skywalker "I have a very bad feeling about this".
I don't know why, call it instinct, but I feel somewhere along the way the game is going to screw up. But till then, all I can do is pray that it delivers on what is promised, and if it is good rest assured its a day one purchase for me!
I love the idea of the ARMA series, its a pretty awesome concept for a game; a realistic sandbox military simulator, what's not to love!
Its just every time I play an ARMA game, a multitude of bugs ruin the experience for me, and I never really enjoy the games, just end up getting frustrated at them!
If you're listening Bohemia, please try and iron out the wrinkles this time, and I'm sure this game will be terrific!
@ToughCritic28 Oh I'm not saying PS3 has BAD first party games, but I think Microsoft may have done a better job, purely in terms of sales. Halo and Gears of Wars kinda murder the competition!
And I personally know a lot of people, who bought a 360 just to play Halo or Gears, and when I try to think of someone buying a PlayStation to just play Killzone, nothing comes to mind. Except for Metal Gear maybe, I think Sony could have done a better job! On a more personal note, I felt a bit let down by a few games...Twisted Metal and Killzone were big disappointments! Great IPs, not so great execution!
Great article, covered just about everything the new Playstation needs to get right!I own both a Playstation and a 360, and I can safely say Microsoft just does some things better...the interface for Marketplace, the controller and better first party games are some examples. If the new Playstation can get those things right (that and not get hacked), maybe they could actually win the next next-gen wars!
@RYPER Dude, its all good, I get where you are coming from. As a fan you are annoyed and feel marginalised. I feel it man, we all do. As gamers, a lot of times we are handed the short end of the stick.
And your right, money is not the best way to VALUE a game. Innovation, creativity and good old fashioned fun go a long way. But the bottom line, is always money, just because you can put a number on it eh? This number, be it 6.3 million units sold, or 100 million in revenue, is always good news for gamers! Think of it from Blizzard's point of view! The people there are people like you and me too, just gamers at heart, trying to make quality, innovative, fun products! BUT, everyone has limitations! In this case, for the good people at Blizzard, or any other fine game company, its the parent company, the stock holders or whoever else they have to pay! So hell let them do whatever it takes to make money on their AAA games, because once the bills have been paid, the obligations have been fulfilled, they can get back to what's truly important!Making great games!
@RYPER You really aren't making much sense here...I read over your comment like three times, and really it just sounds like your pissed at Blizzard; take it out on them, not Gamespot! Seriously, the dude who wrote this article did a pretty good job.
And when talking about the feared "doom" of the video game industry, he's clearly talking about it from an economic stand point! Industry wide trends point at falling game sales, so its good to see games selling well for once! And what's good for the industry is good for gamers, so stop hating and appreciate!
