[QUOTE="LouieV13"]What about a gun that manipulates physics :D oh half life 2... lol what about a tactical nuclear warhead launcher >=D that would kick assPlaneforger

Turok 2 had a handheld 'Nuke'.

And also Fallout, I think. The Fatboy mini-nuke launcher. Minimum safe distance: 6 city blocks.

You are free to try SrO if you want, though I recommend other games like Last Chaos and 9 Dragons. They are much better.

I have never played it, but I heard that Cold Fear is up there in horror. Might want to check some reviews on it first though.TheDukeEmperor

Yeah, Cold Fear definitely has that atmosphere of a horror game. You should try it.

Sell the Vista Ultimate, and get the Vista Home Premium... Ultimate is a waste of money. your not going to use the rest of those features anyways,, Airsoul

Very true. Although I don't see the difference in versions.

Most overrated PC game? Yes I would have to agree but at the very least a lot of work went into that game and it does have a lot of stuff to do ingame. That is much more than I can say about the most overrated console game of all time (Halo).marc5477

Halo is DEFINITELY overrated.

Anarchy Online is a free MMO (for the basic), although VERY complex for a noob to MMOs. I've played 3/4ths of the MMOs that have come out since UO and anarchy is one of the hardest to pick up and play, IMO. It's sci-fi.

FFXI might be a good start, and LOTRO is pretty good if you have somebody to play with. That said, I played WOW for a long time and I liked the feel of WoW more.

Yeah, AO is definitely hard to pick up. I spent an hour running around after I got off of Noob Island wondering what the heck I was supposed to do. And then I quit.

And FFXI is definitely recommended if you're looking for a Asian MMO. LOTRO is also good for people who want to party. But WoW is also okay, I'm going to check it out soon enough, with the new expansion and such.

FRAPS does not work that well. You are probably best off trying to find the command to show the FPS. Some games even have that ability within the Options menu.

Halo by far, especially Halo 2. Both games have what I found to be rather boring and tedious campaigns, with a story that wasn't all that interesting. However, Halo 1 has a saving grace in the multiplayer. It just felt right somehow. Halo 2, on the other hand...see that third link in my sig? That shows you just how much they dumbed down Halo 2's multiplayer, which resulted in a major disappointment to me. The vehicles are improved(improved tank controls, no overpowered fuel rods for the Banshee in MP, speed boosts for the Ghost and Banshee, dodging manuevers for the Banshee, Grand Theft Halo hijacking), which is a nice change, but the ruined on-foot combat totally kills it. (At least they corrected some things in Halo 3, like fall damage; in Halo 2, if you fall a certain distance without landing on anything, you just instantly die for no reason, body flailing as you plummet. In Halo 3, you don't die until you hit the ground. See those "Banshee in space" videos for a good example.) Other titles I don't get: -Half-Life. I don't really see how it revolutionized the FPS genre, though I didn't play it when it first released. I hear that this is because most of the shooters of its time were simple "find the keys and the exit" fare like Doom, but HL had more of a narrative going on, with first-person cutscenes and the like that seem quite typical today. There's a lot of nice mods for it, though. (Half-Life 2 also felt quite linear for a 2004 title, but I think it redeemed itself with the almighty gravity gun and the various environment, so I'll let it slide.) -Counter-Strike. Okay, I didn't really play this from the beginning, either. But I just don't get what's so appealing about it, other than its popularity. Certainly, there were other FPSs with a similar premise around at the time or before, right? Or maybe I'm just being blinded by the asshat-riddled community that rivals Halo's in terms of worst FPS community ever, whom apparently thinks anyone who doesn't have as many kills as they do fails at life and ought to commit suicide or something.NamelessPlayer

There is a fairly obvious reason why they dumbed down Halo 2's multiplayer: consoles. They should have optimized the PC version differently. All it is for the PC version is the one on the Xbox with better graphics, and that's it.

It sure looks good, as the company that is making it, it is their first game. I don't know about their other games, but Warhammer Online looks to be pretty good. I'd gladly consider this over WoW, actually.
