It's pretty simple - NFTs provide no value whatsoever to video games. "Ownership" of digital assets has existed for over a decade now on places like Steam, without a single NFT or blockchain in sight. Nothing prevents companies from allowing interconnected shared digital assets now, and NFTs wouldn't magically make them supported.

All NFTs do is promote thievery, scamming and pyramid schemes, as there is zero buyer protection or recovery available once they are stolen. Oh, and they're insanely wasteful for no reason.

I see more stories about head people leaving Activision than people joining.
