@BonesInDallas They haven't stated an official launch date for the PS4, only that it will come out in Q4 of 2013, so December 31, 2013 is the very last day of that quarter. In all likelihood it will be out before then.

That's it, I'm done with gaming after this generation. I needed a reason to stop sinking so much time into video games and I have to hand it to Microsoft, they've completely killed my desire to engage in what used to be my favorite pastime. I'm no longer excited about the future of gaming.

@kargion @snugglebear @Terminal_Omega The difference between the Gem Store in GW2 and this is that you can buy Gems with in-game gold as well as real-life money. While there are exclusive items in the Gem Store that cannot be obtained anywhere else and are DEFINITELY more than cosmetic (looking at you, infinite-use gathering tools), you don't have to spend $$$ on them, you just have to make some gold and exchange the gold for gems. If this was the case in WoW I don't think I'd have a problem with it.

Wait this is a thing? So you not only pay your subscription fee but there is NO other way to get these mounts other than to dish out more real life cash? Wow...

You would think with taking 2 months to catalogue and take pictures of the whole collection that the seller would have taken the time to spellcheck his listing and, I don't know, maybe make paragraph breaks. I know he's from Italy, but come on.

@Tsuchikage The article states that it is to supplement their own engine. Most likely for the physics/lighting, but that's just a stab in the dark.

@hitman047m4 It really depends on what the contract says, but seeing as how they are remarking on the "sweeping" and "long-term" nature of said contract, I'm sure it encompasses Square Enix's subsidiaries.

@pottedPlant7p Was Guild Wars 2 too casual for your tastes? I'm honestly curious because I absolutely love it, but I know I'm not the typical MMO player.

I really enjoyed that game, more so than any other RTS on a console in fact. Shame they didn't want it made in the first place.

@keyb0red I love Minecraft because it reinforces the idea that graphics are entirely subsidiary to good gameplay and if the gameplay is fun enough the graphics become almost entirely unimportant. Keep it up Mojang and give an addict some 360 updates!
