Those are pretty awesome, chaosmakerX! Could I get one with Benjamin, the hero of FF Mystic Quests? If you can't find a suitable picture (I can't lol), then how about a Zell one? Also, I'd like the Officer plate on mine.
I don't like Nomura's artistry. He's the one that did FFIX and FFCC, right? His "unique" visions of characters always look childish and stupid to me. I like the realistic-looking graphics and SNES character sprites, I just don't think he should amalgamate the two.
I like the Hymn of the Faith, but it's almost too meditative for me. I like the impending doom of One-Winged Angel, where Uematsu was inspired by "Purple Haze" and Carl Orff's 1930's catanta to create an amazing experience. For some reason, I also like the Garden themes in FF8.
Kingdom Hurts II (PS2)... [I got tired of waiting for US Final Mix+]Fantasy_Gamer
Haha! Yes, I just finished this myself. Well, not really finished, my latest blogs tells all the details. If you don't like it, just remember that it's a pretty massive game, and it gets better towards the end. Square-Enix's brilliance shines through that thick "for kids" Disney atmosphere.
I enjoy mini-games a lot, as long as they serve a purpose. For example, I hated the card game Tetra Master in FFIX because it really didn't do anything. For being such a realized feature of the game, it wasn't even an asset. Triple Triad in FFVIII was fun and rewarding to play because you could convert cards into one-of-a-kind items. Blitzball in FFX was fun because you had to play it to progress the storyline and it gave you one-of-a-kind items. Tetra Master really didn't; the only thing you could get was that Hunter Rank S key item that had no canonical function.
So yes, I'm all for mini-games, if they reward you with something worth getting.
(No, you don't get anything special for scoring over 7000 in FFVII's Speed Square. I've tried!)
