VPNs are mostly snake oil. If you need to access content from another location, that's about all they are good for. They don't really provide you much of any security, they just move trust from your ISP to their ISP. Nearly every website is protected by HTTPS anyway, so the VPN doesn't really do anything for you except mask your IP address. Big deal. The only time they add any protection is when you're connected to unencrypted Wifi and using an unencrypted website. That's a pretty rare combination these days. Save yourself some money and don't bother with a VPN.
Yeah they might have sold me a virtual ticket on D+. Instead they’ll get nothing extra, I’ll just watch it “free” when available on one of the streaming services.
I expect the new version to still be complete garbage. These companies always outsource this stuff who developers that just want to get it done quick and move on to the next target. There's no care put into these apps.
Who gives damn? Why does he care at all how the audience chooses to see a movie? If you think it deserves to be watched in a theater, go watch it a theater. I can decide for myself, thank you very much. I shouldn’t be forced to go to a theater to see a movie, then wait three months so I can see it again at home. That’s the old way of doing things. Let the audience make up their own minds. WB’s strategy is perfect here: theater if you want it, home if you don’t.
The only thing I’d change is allowing the movies to be actually purchased on release date, from any of the standard platforms: iTunes, Amazon, Play, and so on. I know they are trying to drive people to their new streaming service, but that’s not important to me.
