Zelda is already beyond the point of no return. It is as dead of a series as Metroid, Star Fox and F-Zero.

This man is responsible for the decline of Zelda. He has been at it for years since Majora's Mask up until Skyward Sword. Not a single game has surpassed Ocarina of Time. I dare you to prove to me otherwise.

And now they had the audacity to reveal an "official" timeline. It ruins the magic. The Nintendo of old, the good Nintendo, would have kept it a secret, and allow the fans to make their own conclusions. Now it is the Nintendo of the now, the one who keeps making awful games with no regard to anything else.

The new Zelda U will have the exact same visuals as Skyward Sword, more puzzles via the GamePad utilizing some "magic notebook", and be even worse than previous games. Mark my words.

They aren't looking for anyone to refresh the series, they would have at least updated the engine by now

There can't actually be people who eat this garbage up can there? People have to realize that this is just a publicity stunt right?

Anyway, they didn't want to have to redo existing content to make love interests bisexual, so they just put all the gay love interests in the new expansion content, which of course means they're basically exiling gays to a pay-to-play planet.Why didn't they just spread the gay characters out everywhere?

I think they couldn't have gays in the game when they first made it because Lucas has a quiet "no gays" in Star Wars policy, then as soon as Disney gets the Star Wars license they're free to add some gays. Thing is they can't go back and retroactively make some characters gay since most players are already way past the old content.

So, if they want to add gays, they need to add them into new content where the players will see them, which inevitably means adding them to the new planet - making it the only planet with gays on it. At no point did they think to address the perception issues this creates?
