Yikes, when was I last here? YGC hasn't worked in months, I solely trust PSNProfiles.com now. I'm working on 3 plats for #42-44. We'll see.

Plat #40: Far Cry 3
Plat #41: Bioshock Infinite

Crysis 3 comes to mind.

I tend to stay away from preview coverage at all costs, but I saw the dam level at E3 and got way too hyped up for a sequel to Crysis 2 (I had not played Crysis 1 at that point). It ended up being way too short, too similar to Crysis 2 in its gameplay and UI and its story made no almost sense and made no effort to make more sense.

Blood Dragon and Rain for $3.75 each? Daymn, I'm in. So much for toning down my PSN purchases.

Plat #38: Saints Row The Third.

I have no intention of getting anywhere close to 100% in Injustice, but it's pretty fun in between heavy doses of The Last of Us.

First time here. I have an automatic trophy card, that's all I need? (According to the earliest posts here, anyway.)

For the record I've spent the last week grinding multiplayer trophies in Tomb Raider, and playing a lot of Rock Band Blitz while that one last silver trophy laughs at me. :p

[QUOTE="istuffedsunny"]I think it's just an anti-piracy thing. This game can easily be 8GB but they chose to include a bunch of uncompressed movies or language tracks to bloat the size and make it a hassle for pirates to share. Next-gen it'll be pretty much the same thing with the same companies doing itMC-Reap
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. It's a 17 hour single player campaign with multiplayer and high quality models and textures, there is absolutely no way it could be 8gb. Do you know how big MGS4 was? To be honest I'm surprised TLOU isn't bigger.

Maybe not 8GB, but is there any possible grain of truth / possibility to this? Then again, some kind of redundancy to discourage someone from downloading it unless they really, really want it is gonna be a big problem next-gen too, only because the games are gonna get ridiculously big. I personally can't stand massive downloads, but a broken drive sucks too. 26GB sounds right, but that's also the biggest reason I'll never support a digitial-only console; just picking up and playing a game beats any DLing headaches any day. Plus, I eat up enough bandwidth as it is with my iTunes and small DLC buying and video streaming. I'd spend the same on a brand-new sealed copy of a game as I would on a massive internet company overcharge for downloading too many 25GB+ games (i.e. more than one :p).

I had a relatively bad game-free childhood. Sure, I'd rent bad ones but whenever I convinced my parents to buy me a game it was usually because I knew it was good. The closest thing I can think of is that I wasn't a big fan of South Park on the N64, and that was mostly because I'd (stupidly) read up on the PC version, which had so many other features and cheats and whatnot. I eventually sold it to a friend a few years later, which in hindsight may have sparked my short-lived trade-in bug that resulted in getting rid of a lot of games only to desperately track them down again years later at higher prices. Live and learn, right? :P

I got my Top 1000 emblem upgraded to a Top 500, but I'm not listed. (I assume I'm supposed to be listed before TheKungFool up top?)

This is awesome! I like reviewing games, but I don't want to drive myself too hard into keeping a Top 100 that I know I'd lose. I'm not that prolific a writer, but I still like doing it. Thanks, Jody.

The over-saturation of U.S. sports networks by college sports is just nuts. Viewing it from the outside as both A) a Canadian, and B) someone who probably wouldn't care anyway, the fact that so much money and prestige is always on the line and yet the NCAA continues to claim that all of its athletes are "amateurs" and penalizes schools for operating as they should yet aren't allowed to is enough to kill any possible interest I ever had in the behind-the-scenes workings of any of it.

And holding the "national championship" game a week after all other bowl games? Nuts.
