@Daelusca: Amen. I'm not saying God of War is bad...but to win GOTY? I just don't understand. I would probably put it at 3rd or 4th after Detroit: Become Human and Pillars of Eternity II.

@fatsnoopy: I couldn't even finish God of War. Played about 20 hours. Red Dead on the otherhand? Currently at 930 hours.

@chubby170: Troll detected. I think the main issue with Red Dead 2, is that it just goes above most people's heads. It's the first mainstream piece of art from the gaming industry that actually stands up against the powerhouse movies and novels of the last 100 years. It elevates gaming from a child's hobby to an actual artform that can contend with the best.

The only thing more disturbing than Red Dead Redemption 2 not winning game of the year...was the DISGUSTING socialist bias of this GDC. I have no idea what is going on...but it made me feel truly ashamed for our industry.

If the story is bad, no reason to play. Bioware doesn't do gameplay.
