My PS3 fat (modelCECHExx, came bundled with MGS4 and an 80GB HDD) broke down a couple months ago, and I haven't bothered getting it fixed until now. It happened twice before, I took it to Play N Trade to get it fixed by "reflowing", and the second time, the clerk there said to get it fixed by "reballing", which is more expensive, but would be good as new.

He also said that the slims tend have shorter lifespans than the fats, is that true?

Should I get my PS3 reballed or buy a slim?

And if I buy a slim, then how do I get all of my data from my broken PS3 to my new one?

My PS3YLoD'd and I don't know when I can get it fixed. Does the "Welcome Back" program's 30-day free PSN+ service start the moment PSN goes back online, or does it start when I change my password? I need to know, because if I don't log into PSN in the few days after it goes back online, do I lose those free days of PSN+ ??

I am interested in getting a highend gamingheadset for my PC, and the (I LIKE TURTLES!!!!)Turtle Beaches are really catching my attention, especially the PX5.

• It says it was built for PS3 and 360, but is it compatible with PC?

On May 4th, my PS3 got the YLoD (Yellow Light of Death).

What kind of specs do I need to run Crysis on fully max'd settings, with an ASUS VW266 Black 25.5" Monitor with a native resolution of 1920×1200. I have a $2500 budget.

If you want a halfway decent Gaming PC. Selling your PS3 stuff is not going to work to get you enough money to buy one. Do you have decent credit history? If you do then you have a chance. Your PS3 stuff even if you sold it on EBay you might get $400 for it. Which is not near enought for a Gaming PC $1200 at the mimimum for Gaming rig. PC is the most expensive way to game.

I would just save up (keep your PS3 stuff while you save for a decent gaming PC) before you know it you have $1200-$2500 for a decent gaming PC.

then why buy a ps3 in the first place? that dont make sense to me how some of u do things. i mean if u wanted a gaming PC then u shouldnt have bouh a ps3 with all these games/accessories. in the end ur losing alot more. instead u could of saved the money u spent on these and bought ur PC. i dont know exactly how much ull get but im guessing not more than 500, maybe 600 if everythin is in very good conditionJoKeR_421

Back when I bought a PS3, I didn't KNOW how good PC Gaming is, and I later learned how good it is, but I thought it was too expensive and I was happy with my console, and its still a good console, but now things have changed.
