@GameSpot: Can I say PBA Bowling 95? As far as more modern titles, I guess it'd be Skyrim.

They should just name it CARnage. If it sees retail, they should make it clear about being the creators of FlatOut.
PvZ can be fun if you only have a few minutes here and there, though I prefer Battlefield 3, and it's cool that it's free :)
Just a short time ago, they had BF 1942, so it's a nice step up.
Super Mario World. The first game I ever played, though, was the original Super Mario Bros. game for NES. I think I love Super Mario World is because me and my best friend growing up played it so dang much, trying to find all the secrets and hidden places and things. I believe we succeeded, too.
Super Mario Bros was also my first Mario game, and will be one of my favorites because of that. With Super Mario World, it's similar here, with friends and family playing it with me. We had to keep trying to get all 96 exits - and some of those Special Star Road worlds were almost impossible :)
Please tell me you are using more than one monitor.
This is in the first post - ASUS 1440p PB Series 27"
Crysis 3 and the Metro games are probably the main ones that might stress your machine when they're maxed out, though a single 780 could probably handle those on max with ease, and you wouldn't have to have an SSD, other than to shorten load times.
Other games since 2006 that took a lot to run on highest were Dirt (offroad racing game - especially in multi-vehicle races), GTA IV and the 2 episodes, Far Cry 3, Saints Row 3 and 4. You could also look into Battlefield 3 and 4, and the last couple Need for Speed games that used the same engine - The Run, Most Wanted and Rivals.
You should also get some Unreal Engine 4 benchmarks.
Do you play many other games?
I've had only 1 or 2 AMD (ATI) cards in any PC compared to at least 6 or 7 Nvidia-based among the different configurations I've owned over the last 13 years, though I have preferred AMD cpu's in all of them.
If not for physx and cuda (gpu video processing) I'd pay more attention to AMD's offerings. I also prefer the Nvidia control panel as opposed to AMD's 'control center' for making image quality adjustments.
Maybe loved is a strong word, but I did not hate Duke Nukem Forever. I liked it for what it was - a sequel to Duke Nukem 3D that retained the "Duke" personality.
Pac-Man on Atari 2600, along with E.T. might have been the games that caused the industry to crash, but for what it was, the system limitations, and the time involved, I thought it was 'ok'.
Another "Sin Episode" would have been nice.
Also, Half-Life 2: Episode 3...then Half-Life 3.
