What a troll to have the dissenting opinion in order to gain more readership.

Any first party Nintendo title is pure game. It's totally worth your money when it doesn't take days to beat. Thanks to this review, I'm now sold for a Wii U.

It finally happened: COD is turning into a Halo knock-off.

Wow! About damn time some game site addresses a pertinent issue. Props.

I personally believe the single-player experience of the past decade or so has blurred the two mediums together. A lot of games in the past couple of years are basically interactive movies with a primary focus on both narrative content and eye candy while the actual gameplay, the core element that defines an actual video game I might add, has taken the backseat. If I want a compelling story, I read a book or watch a movie. I'm not critcizing the actual story here, but I rather experience it in a different form. I play video games; keyword "play". I think QTEs are cheap gimmicks to help the player, err, participant to engage in the story, too. Yes, it can be contested that games are essentially interactive movies. Gameplay mechanics have progressively became dumbed down. Developers are in dire need of some innovation to remain viable. Hell, I even dare to say GTA V became stale after awhile because it's essentially the exact same thing as the past installments, except with better graphics. I don't know how they will accomplish this, but designers need to go back to the drawing boards and concentrate on introducing some new gameplay mechanics because the continual aim-and-shoot and loot collecting are becoming stale. Maybe that's why I tend to stick with platformers or golf games.

Oh shit, do you need that multiplayer unlock code like the last two installments? Or do I have to pay ten bucks again when I rent the damn game?

  • Politically muddled and profoundly misogynistic
  • Character behavior is sometimes inconsistent.
  • Seriously!? That's what expected from this franchise. It's supposed to be politically incorrect and a satire of the times. Please, Gamespot, stop being so damn nitpicky for the sake of being controversial and just say it's a masterpiece. It's a 10 without a doubt.
