Just so everyone knows, the demo is from an old build, which is why there's an issue with loading during cutscenes. Of course, there's no way of knowing it's fixed now for sure until the first reviews come out.

I hope it is, because the slowdown was annoying. Aside from that and the highly unprofessional voice recording/sound editing, the demo was decent. I'll probably buy it just for Isabella's... personality... and a possibly good story once it picks up, but I'm waiting for a price drop so it'll be awhile.

I've had no problems with Black Ops online other than my system freezing from time to time. It's happened maybe three or four times in 15-20 hours of playtime.

I think people complain about PSN a lot because they don't know what ethernet cables are.

Romance is a good genre so long as it isn't built around a pair of caricature characters. One of my favourite films is Breakfast at Tiffany's, and I'll use Holly Golighty as an example of an interesting, unique character who helps the movie avoid falling into the dull formula that plagues most romance storylines. The film's ending is one of my favourites. >_>super_mario_128
That's another awesome rom-com. My mom always looks at me weird when I pick up her cat and say "We're alike, me and cat. A couple of poor, nameless slobs." She probably just looks at me like that because the cat has a name. *shrugs*

Once you go black you don't go back. Uhmm... white just hurts my eyes and is ugly. Websites should have darker backgrounds.

[QUOTE="biggest_loser"]Romance sucks. You always get hurt. Nothing good ever happens. If only if it was like one of those music videos about the summer time. -The-G-Man-
i've always wished life was like music videos. though in fairness most of those wishes were directed at hip hop videos and involved booty shorts and oil

What a life that would be. Except I'll add "and that one Jimmy Eat World music video."

I wonder though if I should have taken up distance/online education instead, I thought why not go to uni for the social factor, now I feel like I'd feel less depressed if I was at home :S seeing there are no friends at uni anyways.

Idk, feels like if you did that, you'd eventually be more depressed because you'd seclude yourself further. I'd give it a semester and really try to get involved with things up there, try joining one social group. I'm really shy so I have trouble meeting new people, but I'm really going to make an effort this year to upgrade my social life, I think I might join an intramural sport club.

I have to agree. Sitting at home and not even putting yourself out there can be much more depressing.

There is still a chance that they won't attack, and if we attack first, there is no guarantee that they don't have other nukes to strike back with. Striking first is a very dangerous move. That's why Launch on Warning and Launch Under Attack are such dangerous defensive stances. I'm purely a supporter of Launch on Impact, though I certainly understand the feeling of wanting to attempt to take out all of their munitions. It's just not worth the risk. Most countries are smart enough to not actually start the end of the world, even if they threaten it.

My favourite genre is probably the romantic comedy. I even like the bad ones. I also tend to become more emotionally involved with anime romance.

One of the reasons is that rom-coms tend to be highly unrealistic. Two people meet, flirt and are in love within a few weeks. End of movie. Anime series tend to be 13-26 episodes in length and span from months to years. Good ones (including just movies) are His and Her Circumstances, Escaflowne, 5 CM Per Second, Voices of a Distant Star and The Place Promised in our Early Days.

For live-action romance (since you don't like them) I can really only recommend When Harry Met Sally... (unless you don't like Billy Crystal/Meg Ryan, in which case I still think it's worth a shot) because it is hilarious, charming and the romance takes a realistic amount of time to develop.
