ummm, i think "reasonable" differs from person to person, especially when your refering to having 2x GTX285's![QUOTE="Daytona_178"][QUOTE="Staryoshi87"]
GTX 285 SLI. Rediculous performance at a reasonable price.

Nah everyone is Bill Gates in his opinion.
Reasonable meaning I work for a living and can afford to invest a few hundred dollars in an activity that's important to me.
I forgot that this board is primarily populated by young pups who have not begun their soul-crushing adventure into the working world yet.

9800GTE (No 6-pin PCIE) in my mini-ITX build
4500MHD in my notebook.

How the hell did this turn into a war, again?
Slig0
It didn't. Just some friendly pointers and reminders.
I'm not about to argue with you, Slig. You've taken what I've said and misinterpreted it. It's my mistake for forgetting this is the Gamespot PC forum. AMD performance chips are great, but they are inferior pieces of technology compared to Intel's high-end offerings. Hence the price differential. The i7 offers more performance, that's a fact, and you pay a premium to obtain it. Computers can be used for more than gaming.
The AM3 platform presents a solid value, but cannot touch the Core i7 line in terms of performance (You pay more, but get more perf). The lynnfield i7s should best them And be priced similarly. I enjoyed my PII X2 550 (Unlocked and OC'd as well as any X4 955... for $98 it was amazing) but it doesn't compare to my i7 rig, in terms of performance, efficiency, and overclockability.
Pat yourself on the back for making the right decision. (I had a fortune cookie that said something to that effect, but in Engrish)
[QUOTE="Staryoshi87"]Ah, yes, just the 620 and 520 are seasonic, I forgot that. I am pretty sure the rest are CWT. At any rate they take them and make them even better :) My new 850HX is heaven on a bun.... SO MANY CONNECTORS! SUCH GREAT EFFICIENCY! Etc. Not sure if Corsair makes the new ones or if they still take internals and run with 'em.The HX520/620 def have seasonic internals, and I believe CWT does many of the others. Not sure about their newest ones, which are just bananas :)

If you're going to spend a ton of money and invest in a quality PSU... Corsair!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010 - Have the 850w version, it's amazing.
Upgraded from this, plenty of room for a single card or multi-GPU setup that only needs 2 pcie connections (more is fine, but annoying conversion)

Please, don't ever buy an Apevia product. I hate them more than the moon hates the sun.
yea i really advice you to change your CPU for a quad one.it will really help your gamesGazaAliNot true clock for clock in the majority of games. However I would splurge on an E6300. You'll benefit from an increased clock speed and a faster FSB. A fantastic mid-range gaming rig that would make.
