I think people are missing the point that I don't think its the score that was as much the issue but the way that Jeff just trashed the game both in his written and verbal review. Maybe he was forced to give it a 6.0 and felt it only deserved a 1.0 or 2.0 because the review seemed like it would get a much worse score. As for myself, I have thought several times that his reviews were at times overly harsh and appeared he did not either understand or play the game he reviewed.
For example, with Kane and Lynch he cited that they overly used the F*** word. Hashe ever seen a british (or even american) gang movie?Its used in abundance. He even saysitslazy in its overuse when Lynch sometimes says "F*** You" when you give him commands. That was intentionalto show that he would sometimes rebel and is a carryover from IO's original plans to have Lynch got apesh*t on you sometimes.
Either way, I know itshard to lose a job especially near the holidays. CNET should have just benched him for awhile but then again we don't know if there are even more reasons behindtheir actions.
