Hot damn, how do people convince themselves to play BF3? The fan-made video of the game are boring, but I know they're still more exciting than the game itself. You can't even do VoIP in a team-based game...

Does anyone play Quake anymore? I love Quake, but the community just isn't what it used to be.
Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, and Left 4 Dead 2 aren't very demanding.
I built my first PC when I was 13, and that was a permanent goodbye to pretty much all forms of console gaming (as well as all forms of living life LOL). But if I could do it, anyone can. It's a very rewarding experience as well.
Yup... Plenty of Quake games work on Mac, which also conveniently are able to run of Macs' low-end hardware.
Oh, and also, you could probably get a MUCH nicer gaming rig than you were even anticipating for a mere $900; with a budget around there, you could easily afforrd a rig with 1TB or more storage, a six-core AMD processor a Core i5 7x series CPU, the second most powerful GPU on the market, the GTX 470, DDR3 2000, and all the other goodies. And right now, price drops are left and right. Internet outlets have been selling Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB hard drives for as little as $55 shipped. Who could turn down a deal like that?
Even for $800, you could easily set yourself up with a gaming rig that tears through any new game. I'm talking about if you build it yourself, of course.
Congratulations on becoming a man, friend. You won't regret investing in a good gaming rig. Not only does cutting edge gaming come with it, but just about everything else you can do digitally seeps from it.
It's not too bad; the only issue I've been frustrated with is PunkBuster; it's absolute garbage. I can definitely understand the PC leaving something to be desired; I myself was MUCH, MUCH better at COD4 on my 360. But, with a PC, I could have pwned myself using a 360. A PC simply requires a higher level of skill as well as the means of a responsible indiidual to improve their abiity to play the game; it takes money, patience, more customization, and more focus. In other words, a little kid can't just pick up the controller and start topping the scoreboards. That's what will always give PC's an edge over consoles.
