In regards to those saying DotA is better than LoL because of deny... Denying is easy. It's just last-hitting different colored minions. I wouldn't mind if LoL implemented it, as it comes naturally to me, but one issue that people haven't taken into account is balance. It's much harder to balance the champs when there is a deny mechanism, especially if abilities are usable to deny. If they're not, then the biggest issue is ranged vs. melee and various attack speeds. Suddenly faster attack/animation speeds become a much MUCH larger factor. [edit] Also, I think it was a bad idea for Valve to host such a large, attention-garnering tournament when their product was in this state. I have no doubt the game will improve (though its style may not be to everyones--including my--liking,) but it has given a poor impression to many players. As far as people are concerned, a tournament with a million+ prize pool says, "Hey, we're so confident in the --current-- state of our product, that we're going to throw money at people who play it." They should have waited. I think this tournament is going to hurt the innate DotA hype factor a lot.
