Ive finally got the Drake Sword! Yes, I know, Im terribly late to the party but when I get too stuck in this game, I put it up for a week or so. I just bought it a couple months ago, Im not that terrible lol. Saw the gameplay for DS2, made me want to pick it up and play it again, ha. Now I just need to get my strength up to 16 xD 3 more levels.
I bought this at Wal-Mart a few days ago, for $20, and I just got a chance to really start playing it tonight. Wow, not good. I knew going into it that it got low review scores and the game was a flop. There's only 1 thing this game does right, and its the zombies. Even then, the zombies arent that great to begin with.
Dont get me wrong, I am finding this game to be worth $20. Im having some fun with it, but how did they screw this up so bad? Amazing concept. Play as the bad guys during the RC Outbreak? Hell yeah! Execution of said concept? Hell no. I'll be sure to stear clear of Slant Six titles now, ha. Hopefully one day, we'll get a title with the same concept (Not exactly Raccoon City, but something like it) and it will be good!
My wife's mom knew somebody selling a Wii with 2 games (Twilight Princess, Mario Kart) for $50, so I went ahead and picked it up. Not to bad, I must say. Everything works too, which is obviously great. Im about to jump into Twilight Princess now.
Well, I've beaten Bioshock this morning before work. What can I say? This game is absolutely amazing, as youve no doubt heard by now. If not, then I'm going to assume you live under a rock and must not pay attention to anything the Gaming World has to offer. As such, while the game was amazing, the ending has left me utterly confused. I will post no spoilers, because I don't want to ruin it for anybody else because if you're like me, then spoilers annoy the Hell out of you. Maybe it needs another playthrough or 2 to completely flesh out and understand? I didnt get all the voxophones, so perhaps. Time will tell though. Atleast thats 1 of the games off of my 25+ game backlog, ha. Time to get started on the others.
In other news, I bought a second Xbox controller today. Atleast now when my wife and I want to play co op in Gears of War or Resident Evil, we can. Or when I'm playing solo, my 8 month old son wont be trying to grab the controller from me! I'll just give him the spare to play with!
