I did indeed find a lot of things on my own. Not telling about it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I know how to dispose enemies quickly. Always did. I've never had too much trouble in GoW (And I'm talking about the first game only right now) with fights, even against multiple foes. I actually found the game pretty easy all the way up to the clones, where it became abundantly clear that I haven't used RotG enough, cause you get infinite magic when active. Proving that I didn't need it at all during my first runs of the game. Only in God Mode you actually need to use magic against the clones. With RotG active.
I know how this may sound now, but I've always been the tactician. One who thinks about the most efficient (not always quickest) way to get rid of enemies, whether it's by linking combos (for the bonus orbs) or getting to 10 hits before I grab-kill an enemy for the +25 orbs brutal kills. That is actually one of the things I remember sharing with this union. I used to have fights, big fights, even in God Mode, where I didn't get hit once. Just because I had so much knowledge about my enemies, and obviously because I've already done these fights a couple times before.
And I just now remember sharing with you guys the Harpy freeze exploit when they're airborne. In the Athens Rooftops level. There's a place with multiple harpys and when you freeze them, they fall to the ground and smash. And the bonus for that was like 30 orbs or something. I also remember a place in that temple. Forgot it's name. Where you have to move two statues to block an infinite wave of harpies. Well, I used to freeze all of them until they didn't give me anymore orbs and only then would I continue. Did I ever share this? I think not.
More will come as soon as I get my hands on GoW again.
Hmm... Minotaur Tormentor? Something about GoW2 rings a bell. Those guys that spawn minotaurs? Have no memory of them at all. Again, most of my memories are from GoW1. The game I DID get to play a lot.
Oh, and when have I ever failed at progressing further than NUR on VH? Back then it was all we had. I remember you put these challanges before me. And I simply fell in love with the game over and over again for that. It was fun. And I bested all of those runs. There was Normal NUR, then H NUR, and VH NUR without the clones. I did all of them. Then there were some speed runs, on god mode. I remember my best was 5 hours and 50 minutes? I remember going below 6 hours. And that was with no fights skipped, and so on. You might say it wasn't really a speed run cause, more like just trying to beat the game fast.
Pandora's Guardian. I remember my tactics were to fight him on the platform always. There was a spot where he couldn't hit me. If that's what you're refering to as the "sweet spot". He used to do this roar thing, but never attack. Exploit there. I don't think I've ever talked about it here. But I do now... cause apparently I'm not appreciated enough.
I remember enjoying the SoD. It felt like better weapon then the rest. There was the Hammer, and the BoO (??). Definitely had more fun with the SoD.
