7/10 seems fair, I played the demo when they ran it back in May I believe and completed what they had done by then, I wasn't really blown away by it. However that just means it wasn't for me, I can see others having a lot of fun with it.

While I can't stand loot boxes and see them for the money making scams that they are, I also recognize that this will not go over in court. These are grown men and women (or kids who stole moms CC) who made a choice. While some loot boxes are more scummy than others, no one makes you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on them. I for one spent what amounts to several hundred over the years on Overwatch loot boxes for cosmetic items (which have no effect on gameplay) and in the long run it certainly was not worth it, but I own that choice because no one but me made me do it. Its like that lawsuit where the guy became overweight from eating Mcdonalds everyday and wanted to sue them for not offering healthy alternatives. No one made him do it and he could have spent that money on actual healthy food elsewhere (ridiculously I believe he won, I forget).

For the record I am vehemently against all loot box and on disc DLC practices and if I find them to be particularly predatory I won't purchase the game. Geshin Impact being the newest addition to the long line of these, point being it is easy to sue in these situations, because then you can avoid looking back at your OWN actions. Want to truly combat Loot boxes? Don't support the games that incorporate them, for it is us the consumers who supported it with our wallets and got us to this point.

@icing: They are braggadocios to get their view count up. If people buy into his hype which sadly many suckers do, they start throwing money at him. Its why I often tell others, unless it's something like a pro streamer or someone who provides content outside of playing a game (I.e themed youtube videos, podcasts, reviews etc) don't throw away money at someone who won't even remember who you are past their rehearsed 'thank you' gimmick.

Good, no one who is actually good at a game needs to brag about their skill. Typically when you do that you're just trying to reassure yourself that you are not as bad as you actually are. However idiots like this are indicative of the larger problem and why I am so often against giving people money for something they can do themselves (play the exact same game and stream it for free).

The only time I have ever donated anything (or ever will) was to a streamer named Dartigan, who some may know from his 'gaming sins' videos. Someone who contributes to the gaming community by providing free content in a manner that most lack the time to be able to do. Jokers like this are a dime a dozen, many of which who use cheating software, which effectively rob you of both time and money by subscribing to a lie.

Moral of this rant?: Be careful of the dude bro (or non-professional) competitive streamers you give your money to. Many do not deserve it, and this guy along with many other cases that have risen (even outside of gameing like the dude who got caught pretending to be crippled) prove this all the time.

@mrbojangles25: It dose, its certainly a tough game but I have been having an absolute blast with it. Very different from the traditional SRPGs you know, and expect to fail a lot but when it finally 'clicks' its so much better lol. Just finished it earlier going for the plat atm.

Dude if I got an F on a test I had my controllers taken away for the rest of the marking period (borrowed a friends in secret, but that's besides the point lol). Had I blown 20k on something (twitch was about 20 years off) I'd likely not be alive today.

Gamespot scoring a early access game... You guys just keep getting lower and lower.

You are aware that most EA games aren't free right? Most cost anywhere from $20 - $50 (This game costing 29.99 without game pass), and are near always far more buggy that the full release. Now I have disagreed with Gamespots reviews more than I have ever agreed with them, however to bash them for reviewing EA games is outright foolish.

The job of a game reviewer is to give their opinions on a game so that the reader can make an informed purchase. As I said EA games almost always cost money, which is an even riskier venture than buying a full release game as you are essentially a bug tester. So tell me, what point is the reviewer not doing the job he is paid to do? Take away the EA tag, and what makes it so different than what they do for any other game? Which is provide players with insight before investing.
