WHOAAAAAAAAA!!!

Graphics Card $11,031.69

Someone is going to buy the XFX 4890 and realize they clicked the WRONG one at amazon and bought the 4890 for $11,031 Dollars. Yes that is 11 THOUSAND Dollars!

I wish I was lucky enough to get that deal...

ilovehuhu

Wow, he must really had an intention of fooling someone. He dropped the price back to $250. But even that is much for that card these days.

[QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"][QUOTE="A_9"] Which card did you buy? :P ATI has always (except for the Radeon 7500-time, when Nvidia har 6800GT lol), otherwise i've always seen ATI as superior, mostly because of the pricexperformance :OA_9
I have 2x 512MB 8800GTS's (G92)... nVidia always seems to be on top when I buy a video card. The fx series wasn't much better than the ti series, but it was better than ATI's offering at the time. ATI didn't take the performance crown back until the 9800 was released, and I already had an nVidia card. My next card was a 7900gt, then 2x 512MB 7950gt's, and now my G92's. I guess it all depends on when you buy the card =P

That was old tiiiimes...Go for a HD 5870 :) Cheaper than GTX 285 and as strong as GTX 295!

Yeah, but who will pay $1200 for two of those? We are waiting, nVidia! Bring the competition.

hofuldig

and when they do expect to pay like 600-900 Just for one of there cards. Still ATI will be cheaper and more worth while.

Nah I know that folks, but ATI will have to lower their prices as nVidia's products sure are going to be a hell of a lot faster.

[QUOTE="anolecrabcf"] I know, if this one comes close to what ATI is offering its going to be a tough choice picking up a DirectX 11 cardAngry_Mushroom

You mean if the ATI comes close... If not, then it's a no brainer. Back to good ole nVidia! Except if the price is too high...

ATI has been pretty good about coming close. I don't see that changing much.

Yeah, it caught up with nVidia's DX10 cards with it's DX11 cards  Just wonder what nVidia's DX11 will perform like...

I don't remember when was it on top... There were three superior cards: GTX260, 4870X2, GTX280...

[QUOTE="xXDrPainXx"]Now I must wait and see some real world bencmarks before I finally sit down and piece everything together around going with ATI's 5970 series or Nvidia's 300 series. anolecrabcf

Yes. The first one would be overkill for that resolution. So,grab the 2nd one and get yourself a new monitor with the extra cash, imo.MonsieurX

Overkill...

So wait, you are suggesting him to get a new monitor while suggesting an inferior rig saying it is enough. It isn't if he wants it to be future proof. The next month he can get a 24" monitor, then what will you say? And nothing is overkill if you have the money. 1st choice ftw.

Way to go nVidia, just a little more and you'll be on the top again like you always were!
