I just so happen to have bought NWN2 Complete from GOG the other day. Time to get this, because I was not impressed with BG:EE in the least. Seems like you can install BG and get some player patches and it runs better... Hopefully BG2:EE will be better.
I don't comment much, but I absolutely love the Fallout series. I'm 29, old enough to remember the first two fallout games, and they turned me into a dedicated PC gamer for life, which is tough to balance with my military career. However, I can honestly say FO1 and FO2 are my two favorite games of all time. FO3 and NV were great, amazing games and I can't wait for more. PC mods for 3 and NV have kept me playing since their release, a total of about 750 hours, and I still go back to them from time to time. You hit the nail squarely on the head Danny, as the setting and characters of the series are the biggest draws. The moral choices you face playing the games are some of the best in gaming, as they are natural and fluid, unlike games like Fable where you know you are doing bad things or good through constant feedback, but basically no impact on your gameplay. There are no renegade/paragon quicktime actions, or snarky/nice dialogue responses ala Bard's Tale. Every conversation is believable, with the ability to use your skills peppered in. Well done with your series synopsis. This series is the finest example of RPG gaming I can think of, only matched by the likes of Baldur's Gate and Elder Scrolls. If anyone tells me FFVII is the best roleplaying game of all time ever again, I will personally go into VATS, target their crotch, and fire until there is nothing left but red mist.
The gray market (people buying/selling on other, more free(ish) services in order to bypass the fees) will be huge for this game. I think just like anything worth real money, we are gonna see some things that make us lose faith in the human race, and it will be even more crazy because it's a video game...
