Guys stop being so dumb about this whole thing. I'll use the basic two examples that show people are just wasting there time arguing over nothing. First can anyone tell me how we're seeing more than is in movies? I've seen movies, books etc. (50 shades of grey for example which I've not read) that are far worse, far more explicit or have actual nakedness and the movies chucking in hot women to help sell. Why are games just such a controversial medium that we have to complain whenever there's any little thing with sexism in it? Either advocate censorship or stop crying, because the devs are free to do what they want within the confines of legal limits.

Second how are we seeing more than we see even at a beach? At beaches women wear bikini's, hell they sometimes even take them off but if a game has a pair of covered breasts in a bikini then pull out the bandwaggon of complainers. How is it different to Cammy having her ass out in a leotard on Street fighter or chun li having her chinese style dress too? If it all just about moderation then we best start protesting about beaches too cos I'm sick of seeing way too many women on them beaches.

DOA is a perfectly good fighting game, I like the series and I understand why anyone might look at it and complain it has a shallow side but a lot of these people are far more shallow that the game. Getting into knee jerk reactions, pre-judgements and emotional vandetta's over nothing. I see some even talking crap about how much skin is shown as if it's constant when you can fully change which costumes you wear anyway.

@PixelAddict Those who oppose video games generally just hate games anyway so we don't need to please them and I'm more inclined to agree with the devs. I don't care if stuff has sexual tones (I mean be honest, so do movies and they don't get the same level of stick) so long as they develop the mechanics to be a solid game.

Not all games are sexualised, this one has been for a while so it only sense that it's garnered a fan base that expect that.

I remember the incident, it seemed a bit overblown. There's sex in movies, books, paintings and other art forms but sensationalism has led to people acting as if even sexual over tones are deplorable to the point where games are just crude. Like I said, movies will have this all the same.

@PixelAddict Are you sure, based on one game? To be fair it might just seem jarring to physically alter a character players are familiar with. Also I feel it's based on the precedent of the series too, for example I'd tell them to tone this stuff down on soul calibur (where the opposite is actually happening) because it's roots were much less pervy. Expectations make a big difference, some series you might buy because you expect this kind of stuff whereas others it's just not appropriate or even welcome (for example I found it a bit dodgy in MGS4 even though MGS1 and 3 had there moments with meryl and Eva).

@Derpalon You say it was ruined yet I see plenty of people on this topic (counter more than 15) saying they thought it was a good game, it also sold well and was reviewed decently. Now I'm not saying you've not got a point that it would be better on a PC but this is like saying FPS are better on PC so Halo should be on PC only anyway. It's just a bit of a dumb point considering you're saying it about a franchise that does seem to manage to buck the trend and prove PC gamers wrong that these genre's (FPS and RTS) can be done on consoles, obviously not as well but still good.

If it came to PC it'd just end up inaccessible to console players (or be a bad PC RTS) because they have to either make it workable on consoles (i.e. it wouldn't be worth porting to PC) or bad for console but good for PC. I play PC and consoles, don't see why PC gamers always assume the best experiences are only on PC though.

@7C7R7N7 Well to be fair PS3 gamers seem to want absolutely everything on the PS3, I never see a game that I don't hear some playstation fan on the sidelines saying they are waiting for a PS3 version followed by my light chuckling as I know they'll have to learn to just buy the other consoles some day. C'mon, a gamecube won't run you up much of a bill any more.

If they do it like the resident evil remake on gamecube then HELL YEAH. That was one of the bes games ever made in my opinion and the new resident evils are just falling off the wayside for me because crapcom just want to turn it into an action fest with dumbed down characters and no realism.

@xtremeflem2day Wars was a good game though (look at the comments below and you'll see many agree) the problem with ODST was simply that they was contracted to do so many projects but one of the projects fell through so they literally had to rush through and make a new game in a smaller time frame. It had to be more of an expansion / side story than a full Halo game because of that.

I don't know why you was too daft to just read reviews and know what you're getting into rather than buy it and be disappointed but in the end one bad game (although I hear a lot saying they liked ODST really) isn't a very good thing to base your entire decisions of a franchises continued worth on. Your choice though, just saying I doubt Halo 4 will disappoint quite like that did.

@Smokescreened84 @PixelAddict Learn to play and judge games on there actual merits. Every time I see people put COD and Halo in the same sentence I really do find it hard to not think less of that person. It's like saying deus ex (the original) is just like unreal tournament or something. Halo isn't a twitch shooter so it isn't all run and gun, it had balanced weapons but only a limit of 2 can be carried so you should be thinking what weapons you need for each situation, the shields promote defensive play because the more you can keep the shields up the more hammer you can take without losing health etc. and then they started to add other elements like loadouts, equipment / armour abilities which can add to your play style / strategy too. That's before we even start comparing how many people enjoy and play through the Halo campaigns (which have connecting stories and a lore unlike COD) so compare that to COD and act like they are both just run and gun? Well, you're not going to get much respect of your opinion while just trash talking,

Not all shooters are run and gun, try Half-life, Halo, Deus Ex, Bioshock, System Shock etc. and don't judge all the games the same just because you have no idea of the genre. And what you're telling them they shouldn't have done worked, they got good sales and pleased the Halo fans that are also interested in RTS. Most real gamers play more than one genre, I play RTS and FPS so bought it and enjoyed it. I agree with what you're trying to say, the FPS genre has too many gun-ho kids that love nothing but FPS but in the end that's just generalising and in this case I don't think it works well.

@The-Neon-Seal @Void_Master Unfortunately Ensemble (the guys who made Halo Wars) were shut down by MS so that's why it's not as likely to happen any more.

Well at least it ended up a pretty decent game. I understand Bungie's position, they don't want to give cannon fodder to the idiots that just want to scream about things being milked nor do they want to let the brand quality slide (which is a potential risk when handing it over to someone else) but overall I don't think it's really too bad. People who want to buy Halo buy Halo, it's very convenient that early on in development the original Halo kept switching between being FPS and RTS anyway and that the game is focused around a war so why they'd think an RTS game would somehow be so bad is beyond me. If it was a dodgy action game then yeah, but we're talking about a pretty good fit, that turned out pretty well and was handed to a pretty good dev studio.

Good game in the end.
