Stan isn't attacked by the mummy in the novel, that was Ben. As a child Stan is attacked by the drowned kids in the Standpipe.

Pennywise/It didn't cause stuff like the Ironworks explosion or the shoot-out directly, per-se, it's more that It has a sort of influence over people in Derry. In the book it goes really indepth about how the citizens of Derry are just...more inclined to violence, like the town is "poisoned" (which it basically is, being the private killing pen of what is the physical avatar of an Eldritch cosmic horror).

I really enjoyed this adaptation of the book, which surprised me because it's my favorite King novel and normally lots of changes annoy me, but this version forges it's own identity, and the cast is universally excellent for both the child and adult versions of the characters.

This new interface look horrid, and doesn't give me remotely the amount of info on a game I get from the current interface. Can I opt out of this? Please? I don't care about any of these "features" and I'm happy with the interface looking the same as it has. I rather like my convenient sidebar where I know where everything is because it's either alphabetical or alphabetical in my Favorites sub-list.

Hah of course I can't opt out I'm still stuck with the awful chat interface they forced out last year. I basically stopped using the chat when it got blighted with that.

@JohnCrichton: Hell yeah. At one point I still had my old VHS tapes from when the series was first being released but I sold them years ago. Anime is so damn cheap to collect now.

So it's missing the music AND has an actively, intentionally worse translation? I'm glad I have my Platinum edition DVDs from back in the day.
