@acelogan1989 @Sharuko9126 Actually expansions sell less than launch in most MMOs in history, with the exception being WoW. In every sales record they list expansions for MMOs under "MMOs", this DFC intelligence is just PR fluff, with no basis in reality.

This is all PR fluff that is extremely deceptive. WoW: Cataclysm sold 4.7 million copies in their first month. But this study doesn't count expansions for some odd reason. Vanilla WoW almost 10 years ago had 3.5 million players within 8 months, but they added another qualifier with "Western".

This is pretty much like when SWTOR said "The Old Republic is the fastest growing subscription MMO in history."

The game is crap, don't buy into their deceptive hype.

All you people complaining about "hot key skills" please don't even play the game, even though you will. You can't pause your game in an MMO a hot bar is needed.

@deth420 The streams are entertainment, people don't mind paying for entertainment. Be it watch sports, comedy, movies or entertaining people playing games.

I watch Twitch more than TV. $9 a month is pocket change. I will support them.

@supertom221 First they aren't using the Hero Engine, they used that as a template. Secondly, the "sole purpose" thing is completely wrong. Engines don't work that way.

If anything this is more like Dark Age of Camelot than WoW. People that call it a WoW clone are probably people that only played WoW.

This MMO sounds too good to be true, hopefully they can pull this off.

@Kevin-V Thanks for your response. And I do prefer your reviews to anyone else and have for a long time because I know you are honest. But I wonder if everything needs to be reviewed and criticized. I mean this was the first look of a game that they brought to the public, it was more of a here is an early look of them game. Even what you saw was extremely limited.

It seemed like this was a "here is what we didn't like" instead of "here is what we saw and what we liked and didn't like". I mean at 1:10 (within a minute) Mr. Toffee said "I don't know it feels like Bethesda is retreading World of Warcraft". Is that really what we want to say? When the similarities are limited to WoW (it also has a lot of similarities to Skyrim)

It just seemed too dismissive. But thanks for the video.

God I am so fed up of these writers and reviewers always compare every single MMO to WoW. In this particular case at least compare it to DAoC which you hinted at towards the end. Why are MMOs held to a different standard. Do you every say this shooter game feels like every other shooter? Or this single player RPG feels like every other single player RPG? Or games like Diablo 3 feel exactly like other games in the genre including Diablo 1 and Diablo 2?

So cynical and negative, so sad to see.
