My guess would be that you're missing a graphics driver. You may be able to get that off of the Toshiba website. A lot of companies put that stuff online.fynne

Yeah, I think you're both right. I'm checking out Toshiba's website now and I've found some drivers that could be downloaded and installed. Downloading some things now, so, hopefully it will work. I'll get back to you on the results. Thanks!

A number of laptop manufacturers install software designed to optimize the performance of the computer. The laptop should have come with a disc that contains all that kind of software. See if there is something on that CD designed to optimize graphics performance. If you don't have the disc then check the toshiba website. If they still support your computer then updated versions will be available for download.Drosa

I have a toshiba satellite laptop that was made around 2005-2006. It has Windows XP and is Windows Vista Capable, an intel centrino processor, and 1 gig of RAM. I had it for a few years and now all of the sudden, I find myself having problems when trying to play demos and games on it. I used to be able to play games such as FEAR on it, but then, after wiping out everything on it, I can't even get the first Call of Duty demo to work on my laptop. I think it may be a problem related to the drivers or the graphics card, I'm not too sure since I haven't had this problem before. I wonder if wiping out my hardrive had anything to do with this and if there's anything I could do to fix the problem? If someone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks
