@Slim02 Oh boy lol, caps? You dont get it, in a cloud the server streams the content to you...you DO NOT DOWNLOAD A THING.
And yeah, there are people still running on dial up...and there is still people who own a PS1 as they're only console...tough shit for those guys they cant play the new games....so what...should we make all multiplayer games dial up compatible? and all ps3 games run on a ps1? no..thats stupid. Unfortunately they just get left behind.
You want the cheap games, ease of access and play, get a PC, if not buy a console, its as simple as that, i love the fact i can buy a ton of cheap games on steam, go anywhere and play them, i find console gaming limited.
And just onto the playing steam at home...first off your argument is still flawed...i want to go over to my friends house to play my ps3 games...hes got no ps3...we are screwed...same with steam if hes amazingly not got some kind of PC or MAC. So if Steam is useless at your friends house well PS3 is useless at mine...its subjective.
And playing by yourself at home? oh you've never had a Counter Strike lan party have you? bring your laptops, hook up em to the network, log into steam and join a 16 player team game with all your buddies in the house. Nothing beats it, beer will be drunk, chairs will be thrown :D ...3-4 people multiplayer...is kinda dull.

I understand your firend may only have a PS3 or Xbox but are you saying they dont own a PC or Mac? if they do they can download Steam, its free and have access to ALL your games.
As i mentioned..with cloud computting in the near future it wouldnt even matter if he only has an old banger that runs Windows 97, he'll be able to play all your new games on steam with the click of a button..
Your argument makes no sense, what if you have PS3 games and you want to bring them over to your friends house who only has an xbox...you cant play them.
But your friend is more likey to have a PC or MAC...which can install Steam...and play all your cheap games :)
@Slim02 Just start their computer...Steam will be there running in the background, Sign into your steam account...simple as that.
With the way cloud computing is going to, in the very near future you will not have to install games just sign into your steam account and pick your game and play it.
@psycho75 I like to own physical copies too, i have a large collection but i just have to be realistic sometimes.
Just bought Batman Arkham City off steam for 12 euro i think.., installed in a few minutes and im playing.
PC + Steam > All others.
Also my Xbox 360 was dated the day it came out, the hardware on consoles is just ancient when compared to PCs, i cant wait for next gen so devs can move on.
@Suikogaiden Oh i had to respond to that not natural thing...so transgenders arnt natural? What is natural? are buildings natural? guns? Trees? The answer is yes to all, all of these things are made out of what he find around us in nature...the same is true for people. I dont understand how you can just say something is not natural without providing any reason for it other than you personally dont like it. If someone decides to be transgender they have made that choice within nature, within the realm of possibility, the natural world has shaped them, it is normal. And just what are you implying that they are somehow "unnatural"...i ask you what in our world is unnatural? everything we see around us, everything humans have made and created has all been taken from the reality we live in making it natural....are transgenders from outer space? Yes you have the complete right to be disgusted by it, just as i have the right to mock your opinion as dumb.
@dangamit What do you mean by not normal? What ever someones wants is normal to them, just beacuse you are personally ofended by it means nothing. Survival of humans? emmm i dont think gay people are a threat to our survival...its a matter of choice my friend and its normal, its in nature, its all part of being a living breathing animal. And to Carolyn, while i really do support you and all transgender people i dont really see why you should get offended if someone decides to mock transgenders....it just marks those people as idiots and there opinion no longer matters then.
