You play GTA as an example to see an effective story telling medium? Bioshock I can understand, but I still would have stayed away for shooters. He should have tried some more traditional adventure games to see a better example. Why didn't they used Monkey Island? The Longest Journey? Siberia? Ever 17? Ico? Something that really IS a story in game form. I am an avid reader, but I enjoy a good story in a game much more than in a book or a film. Having that "interactivity" is a way to understand a character in a way that would normally be impossible. Sure, casual contribute a huge amount of $, but it's the hardcore gamers who will be purchasing multiple consoles, buying special editions and putting most of their spare (and sometimes needed) money into gaming. As a long-standing gamer I find his comment offensive and ignorant. I guess that's why we see more bad EA titles than good ones.

I work at EB Games, and almost every day I get parents or kids coming in and asking about DS Flash Cards and have absolutely no idea its illegal. Apparently all their kids friends have them. I would have thought it was obvious downloading games to it was illegal... Apparently not.
