I actually like this better than the Yoshi's Island music. Maybe that'sjust because I'm all Zeldafied from playing Twilight Princess for the first time last night, but I think it's really well done. Good music to beat the living crap out of Kirby to, you might say. ;)

You think Nintendo's ripping people off?

The 360 is $399 or $499 in Canada

When it SHOULD be - $317 or $423 converted from the American pricing system.

That's a huge rip-off!

Unless he's right up in your face (as in, a house right beside yours) it shouldn't be a big deal, and by the sounds of it he's not too close if there are only 3 houses nearby. And ifhe's just grabbing themail, that's not exactly a huge long-term display.

If it really bothers you, you can ask him politely to put on a bath robe or whichever, but again it shouldn't be a big thing.

Not meaning to disrespect, but some people are such prudes.

My mom's a pretty big video game fan, so when I was still in the womb she sent a controller down the umbilical cord so I could get a feel for it. It was pretty sweet!

Oh wow, that's really steep. :?

I really hope that the PS3 can pull though a bit.  As much as I love lots of Nintendo's stuff, I don't want amazing games like Final Fantasy or Metal Gear to suffer.

Then again, there's always the slim hope that those games will move to the 360.  We just need to work on making Japanese gamers less stubborn.

You can also aim the launcher at different angles by tilting the Control Stick up or down.SupremeAC

I think people are missing the important news here.  Unless I missed something, which is very possible, isn't there still speculation and uncertainty about the game's control scheme?  Just the other day I saw some concepts up of how the game would control with just the use of the actual remote.

If the control question hasn't been answered, this pretty much confirms that the game will use an analog stick, which rules out a solely Wii-mote control scheme, thank God.  My money's on Wiimote and nunchuk, but I guess classic style is possible.

If they got Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower and While My Guitar Gently weeps, I'd buy a system for that game.

Some good ones:

  • Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower
  • Henrdix - Voodoo Child
  • Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
  • Led Zeppelin - What Is And What Should Never Be
  • Led Zeppelin - Stairway
  • Radiohead - Just
  • Neil Young - Southern Man (this would be a tough one)
  • Any of the Steppenwolf classics
  • Maybe an Arctic Monkeys song for some new stuff
  • Echo & The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon

And just to make this post a complete pipe dream:

  • Deerhoof - Twin Killers

A low 6, probably.  Even if the Wiimote makes things more interesting, it's the eighth game in the series.

Wow, that looks awesome.  I wonder if it'll play like Crystal Chronicles or maybe something entirely different.

I'd personally be happy if it was like CC, only if the game actually had any sort of story and character development.

The only things out of these rumours that I believe are the release dates for Mario and Smash Bros., and the Wi-Fi for Corruption.

If these are true...

I don't really understand why they decided against putting online in Corruption as it would make the game a major seller.  Maybe not the Wii's answer to Halo, but a high-profile online-enabled shooter would do well, especially with the Wii-mote as a selling point.  That being said, I'm really glad it's multiplayer-free (again, allegedly) so that Retro can just focus on the single player and make the experience as deep and immersive as possible.

Disaster and Project: Hammer in '08 seems realistic and reasonable to me given that they were announced before the Wii came out but didn't appear far along.  As for Smash and Mario, if Reggie did say that both titles would be out in '07 then those dates make sense.

As for Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, I'm pretty sure those were already confirmed so that's not a surprise.  They'll probably be the high-profile '08 holiday games if Nintendo's pushing the "Big 3" for this year's holidays.

Vision Red sounds intriguing if only because it'd be interesting to see Nintendo's take on a deep Final Fantasy-like RPG, but I'm incredibly skeptical.  Nintendo fans have always been desperately hoping that Nintendo would make a high-profile RPG for a home console and it's never really happened. Don't see why this should change now.

And the Zelda trailer?  I really don't see Nintendo rushing out another "even darker" Zelda so quickly.  Quite honestly I'm expecting either a return to Wind Waker looks or another stylistic change for the next one.
