I completed it twice, one of them at Infamous difficulty, and I found almost all the diamonds (220 out of 221, I had to use a guide to find the last son of a bitch).
In my opinion the game becomes repetitive as hell only if you let it be.
But anyway, good for them to give the option to use fast travel or not, so more types of players get happy. Personally I never use fast travel in any game, but that doesn't mean I want that option taken away. Options are always good.

That's overkill for a console port, of course it ran fine to you :P
Still, a lot of people with very good rigs experienced very bad performance. Why a game that can run fine on 7 year old consoles can run that bad on a modern PC is beyond me.
Oh man, this game is one of my favorites of all time.
The biggest, best looking game I played before this one was Age of Empires 2, haha, no kidding. I used to play a lot of 2D games on my old PC, with the ocasional 3D game like Need for Speed 2. So when I got a PS2 with this game and played it, my jaw dropped: I couldn't believe that such a big and pretty game could exist, and let alone run smooth. Holy shit!
Good times. Now I'm replaying it on PC and I'm having a blast. I still can't find all the damn tags, though, I only have 7 left.
I liked the modern storyline in the first AC game: it was intriguing, with the "apple" being the explanation of all the supernatural stuff that happened in history (the Trojan War, Moses parting the Red Sea, etc.). But once they started adding more mystical things by the second game (Gods and that end of the world nonsense) I lost interest in it.
So, what I'm getting at is that hopefully they'll make the modern sections skippable for the folk that just want to get into the action, YARRR!
While I love the AC series despite its milking, I have mixed feelings about getting this. I still can't forgive the devolpers for the awful PC port of AC3 that had horrible performance in the cities, a problem that still remains unresolved 8 months later.
I disliked GTA 4 a lot, so I was skeptical about this one... but WOW, after watching this I'm sold, the game looks fun as hell, just like San Andreas. And the graphics are fantastic considering the scale of the game and current gen hardware. Wow.
Sensationalistic title, check. People that take the actress' comment out of context, check. Comment section full of insults against said actress, check.
Not much of a fan of MGS (only played 1 and 3, and despite loving both, I had no desire of getting a PS3 for MGS4), but man, this looks awesome. I'm glad that it will be multiplatform, I'm definitely getting this for PC.
