@POMEGRENADE451 very much worthy of any investigation...

the whole damn game was such a disappointment to the tune of blizzard having to switch one of the core mechanics of the game to a classic fan demand!!

yet it still gets a damn 8!

GS is just trying to hold on to they're jobs, pandering bs...

6 at best!

especially with such alternatives as POE available

hmm i prefer the pc....i think 'services' are tertiary at best, i wont use my xbox to surf the net or watch movies...its about the games and so far i don't feel compelled to get either system.....KI and Forza do look interesting, and i'm a fan of the kinect...but i dont like either of them enough to buy release hardware which is notoriously glitchy and expensive

the catchup-curve of this game just gets bigger as the game goes on, i beta' tested this game and played the first 2 years...i've come back twice trying to like this game, even with a great corp, i still run into the same old problem of not being able to advance actively, having to wait to be able to participate in things, and be able to make a diff.. being put into a gimp-newb group in fleet action is not the same...

as far as payment, im aware of making isk to trade GTC's, but imo i shouldnt have to work my ass of for par... daoc(mordred) and WAR(hammer)...prolly best mmo's in recent years both of which are dead and dying... oh well... eVe is bitter/sweet experience imo

if that's code for, quick time events... no thanks(personally)... games should strive to have good stories, plots, characters, settings... but they are capable of more, and movie like games can be a genre of their own but not all game should strive to be like a film, it would be too linear for one, and create too much homogeneity... which has a been a problem for the industry for awhile now... i remember the FPS craze that spawned alot of crappy fps shooters and sometimes converted franchises that weren't fps into one. And this imo is not from a lack of creativity its from the corporate fiscally orientated mentality, companies who want a sure seller game in a big populated genre instead of taking risks on new games, mechanics and IP's.

ms thinks it can replace and merge advertising space from both gamers and casual tv users, marketing the xbone as some sort of home media centre, i can see why they are after more than just the gaming demographic, they would have a wide and varied viewership, all on one piece of hardware, an advertisers dream. Depending on how its done(intrusively or passively) it could work, but people don't like being pandered to. As far as personal info being released and collecting permission... somehow i think this will be swallowed up and buried in the EULA. Who reads those things.... for all you know it could contain a stipulation for major nelson to donkey punch you with every account activation, and you wouldn't know it
