don't think we need to reinvent the proverbial game-mechanic wheel every time a new entry comes out. think the merits of the game is going to be on it's solid mechanics and it's story. if your in it for purely gameplay sake and looking for something wildly different then its not gonna be it. if your looking for an excellent batman game, well here it is.
@DarthLod i find it more then a little funny that after a few years of seeing your posts that you've made being a cynic and acting indignant into more then just hobby given how long i've noticed your posts.
The first half is making comment that violence, religion or being critical of religion, impossible male designs do not get flack, not nearly as much flack as impossible female design does.
the second part is more of a comment in response to the people saying "well the men are just male fantasy, and so are the female ones". don't know how much you follow this topic but that is the popular response. It wasn't just directed at Dragon's Crown, but rather at all the games that get blasted for the same reason.
Bloody visceral violence of Last of Us and so so so many other games - not offensive.
Just touching on and being a little critical of religions (real life or fictional but alluding to real life religions characteristics) like in Bioshock Infinite - not offensive
overly massive muscles and physique on male body? - not offensive.
impossible breast sizes and gorgeous hips and curves - i am deeply DEEPLY offended and will call anyone who likes this an immature childish man-baby basement dwelling perma-virgin! (and before someone says it, no the reviewer Peter didn't go nearly that far, but i've seen people in both comment sections and other journalists on other sites go. and that does seem to be the popular Western by-line)
That sounds about right.

Also i always hear that the men are designed to be male fantasy because that's what men would like to imagine themselves, ok. then let me put up a challenge then. what is a male design that plays on female sexual fantasies? What exactly is a design that would illicit such feelings for the female sex collectively? Is it Edward and Jacob from Twilight? Is it a really effeminate metrosexual who embodies a lot of female attributes while also still being a hetero male? Is it Prince Charming from Cinderella? or Conan the Barbarian?
