I just began using Ubuntu 7.10 on my laptop. I am kind of a noob so I was looking for some guidance.

Specifically, the bar along the top of the site "Home PC 360 WII PS3... news" all used to be on one line when I was running firefox on windows. It now falls on to two lines :X.

I am not really sure how to fix such a problem, any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I think it would be an awesome tool to be able to see expected release dates for the games that you track in a calendar format. Or maybe just offer it in some kind of exportable calendar format that you can use with MS Outlook or Google Calendar.

Its tough looking through each individual gamespace or viewing the new release section which only lists a weeks worth of games. That is all, thanks for looking out GS!

an underlying fear to cut against preconceived public opinion of a title.blueness

There was lots of backlash against GS for certain review scores lately, so I'm not quite sure where you got this impression.

I don't understand how the woman's logic makes any sense. OK maybe they have a case against apple, but for 1 mil for "damages?" Give me a break.

Completely Agree. I would love see a makeover of the whole "I own/Wish List/etc." system. Its a bit cumbersome right now.

I've always felt that the "Add to my Games" feature was a bit unwieldy here at GS.

Some suggestions that I can come up with are to actually indicate in the gamespace of a page whether or not the game has been added to your tracked list. (I don't believe this is the case currently) I will find myself adding games that I already have on my tracked list because I lost track of what games I have added.

Also, another place to include an "Add to my Games" button would be on the pages of new releases beside the game. I like to peruse that section of the site to see the upcoming releases and if a game looks interesting I have to go to the gamespace to add it, rather than just add it from the new releases screen and continue viewing the new games. Just a minor suggestion there...

People from Gamefaqs tend to be pretty condescending towards GS members at times... I don't quite get it. I used to be a user there a few years ago but I signed up for an account here and haven't looked back.

I subscribe to Gamespot and I am a huge fan of the site. I love the content. I eat up all the videos they put out, the podcast, OTS. I think they have VERY solid reviews. The biggest plus however is the attitude and unique personalities of the GS staffers.

That being said. I do feel news trickles rather slowly at times to Gamespot. Its not uncommon for me to read a news article (a big gaming news article) and not see it pop up till  the next day at GS or even in some cases two days later.

My solution is to just subscribe to GS, Kotaku, and Joystiq using my RSS reader and use that as my hub for gaming news, whereby it does not matter who reports it first.
