it should be fine given that you are playing older games or newer games at lower settings its ok but at least get a decent aftermarket cpu cooler so you could get decent temps on that CPU or maybe if its BE edition then overclock it aswell.

Ok. What's a good air cooler? Keep in mind it's a slim PC, so there isn't a lot of wiggle room in there. I know the liquid cooler I have in my PC wouldn't fit in it. It would take up half of its space! Lol

search out in newegg you will find small ones which could fit in your casing & being better than stock ones if the stock is doing good then no need to change but keep an eye for the temps because These AM2+ cpus tend to get hot.BTW what cpu currently it has now which you replacing?

Hello all.

I have a Quad Core Q6600, GTX470 and 8GB of RAM.

I just upgraded to a 27'' monitor, so went from 1680x1050 to 1920x1080, and my PC struggles a bit on BF3 (which it didn't before on my old 22'' monitor 1680x1050).

Could it be my CPU is bottlenecking?

If so what's the highest (fastest) CPU I can install on this mainboard?

ASUS P5N32E-SLI

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5N32E_SLI/

Thanks.

By just looking into CPU support list from the link u posted the maximum what they state is upto Core2Extreme QX6850 which is considerably faster than your current cpu but as of now you wont be able to find one however it can support C2Q Q9650 if u find one wether used or not.

[QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"]

I got some good deals from craigslist/kijiji in the past, like a used 460 gtx for $100 when they were selling in stores for about $170, and a radeon 6950 2gb for $230 when it was selling for $300 in stores. the only reason ur computer is cheap is because of the cpu, which is an AMD. AMD cpus are relatively crappy compared to intel, so where u got a discount

Toxic-Seahorse

"relatively crappy" We got another Intel fanboy. AMD is great for gaming seeing as you can max any game out with an AMD CPU. Yeah, they aren't as powerful as Intel CPUs, but they're also much cheaper. There is nothing "crappy" about AMD CPUs.

yeah AMD is behind intel thats for sure but CPU doesnt matter when gaming at 1080p its the GPU which matters the most.BTW about that Phenom X6 it can last at least 2 years more & more so when overclocked above 3.6Ghz.

I'm looking at 120hz v 1440p primarily for gaming purposes. Here are the two products I'm considering:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236206

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176242

I know there are a huge amount of threads on this, and I've read many of them. I'm hoping to get some ideas between the technologies used and get some good subjective feedback by users that have experienced these types of product and can compare them. Both monitors are close in price, and I'm aware one is sharper with much total picture quality, whilst the other has that buttery smoothness. My 120hz tv made such a huge difference for me. As much as the transition from standard def to high def.

I'd love to check these out in person, but I live nowhere close to where I could see these monitors in action. I'm running a 7970 right now (1050/1500), but plan on upgrading to sli 670's with 4gb within the next few months. Thanks for any help, consideration, and feedback on your opinions of the better "gaming experience" these monitors can provide!

saw your sig with that much power you must get that ASUS 120hz one for no compromises in fluidity in motion no tearing what so ever.

Hello everyone, we went down to the local computer store awhile ago to check out some graphic cards they had and they recommended us the HD 7770 1GB for Php 6,800 (roughly $120). We're planning to upgrade because it seems the 512 MB in the 4770 is having a hard time running some games at the moment. Is it worth getting this card or is there something else worth getting for the same price? I tried checking out some benchmarks but couldn't make out if it's worth the upgrade or not so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks! :D

Kenny789

definitely a huge upgrade from that old R700 get it.
