As for the reason for why I want to change is because I want it to generally improve it as it is beginning to fall behind.

And I really don't want to touch my motherboard and CPU because my knowledge in that area is very small and someone else installed it for me when I got it.

Change of fan can't be that hard though.

Buy a cooler master hyper 212+ and overclock the CPU. Once you have done that then buy a 6950 2GB.

Hey, I was wondering if I should change Motherboard and CPU or just the GPU? I got a budget of around 4000kr and that is around 400 euro (?).

So far my change to the 5770 didn't make me satisfied at all honestly, but I though that it may be my CPU that reduces performance.

Check your temps and if you made any overclock make sure to go back to default settings. You can also try System Restore after going through the first two steps.abuabed

Nevermind, I used Core Temp and it shows 45c (low) 48c (high)

Hard to tell, from the sounds of it (as I understood it it worked fine for some time?) It is likely a driver issue, and luckily fixable, first id try would be to backup anything you want to save, and format the system, it would be pretty hard to do driver reinstalls for all the things, so a format might be kinda brutish sledgehammer'ish, but its a good way to make sure.

I never had any BSOD or freezes before, I did install new drivers for my GPU like one or two weeks ago. I think I either use Catalyst11.2 or 11.1 or something.

Hey, I've been having allot of trouble with my computer recently.

After I came back from school immediately after I move my mouse a little it freezes and I had to restart.

And today after I put my computer on it got a BSOD. This is really starting to worry me allot, I can still play games without any problems but I have seen strange things when playing the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo, but I think those things is the game not my computer. Anyways.

GPU Temp : 37-38c

Fan Speed : 35% (Automatic settings)

It's factory clocked so I haven't oc'd it myself.

I honestly think it's my GPU (5770 XFX) because it was gettings allot of negative reviews and complaints.

I now there's a way to let the bluescreen stay on screen without it restarting but I don't remember how to do that.

There's also an experience system somewhere in Nexus. I like that quite allot.
