The USA has some of the lowest tax rates in the first world, and they complain the most about taxes...

Why should we control other people's lives? Its their choice. Also genetically speaking marrying your 2nd cousin is the same as marrying someone from the general population in terms of birth risks.
So basically, what's Canada's healthcare system?
Single payer and free market. There's still free health care but there's also insurance companies and private doctors for those who want it. I like our system here since we don't treat health care as a luxury that only the rich can afford.
How does this work exactly? What does single payer mean?
It is certainly great that no matter what healthcare is provided to all, but I wonder about the quality and the extent of the coverage of that free healthcare option.
Single payer is essentially....
Instead of paying 15% in taxes with no health coverage; you pay 18-20%, but you're covered if you need medical attention. The government would fund everything with the excuses $$$.
The problem is it's hard to convince Americans to increase their taxes, and corporation don't want a single payer system because it would result in little to no profit.
So you have politicians not wanting to get a bad on the bad side of tax payers, but they also don't want to get on the bad side with the insurance companies who help fund their political campaigns. You also have the insurance companies making it impossible for individuals who need coverage to obtain coverage, and those that are health still don't get regular checkups due to co-pay when they see a doctor.
Essentially what America needs is a single payer system that mandates periodic check ups so everyone can be covered, and reduce the overall healthcare cost. There's no reason someone should have stage 3 cancer in America when our GDP is that of all of Europe combined.
We dont even get mandated check-ups in Canada. Hell, our Gov. health insurance doesn't even cover check-ups.
Huh what do you mean? I live in Toronto and I can go get a check up with my family doctor anytime and its covered.
Try $250 and buy a samsung, benQ, etc. Don't settle for some cheap monitor. Just wait till you have another $100 and buy a proper monitor. Even get a 3D monitor. Your gonna have this monitor for years so don't buy something that will keep you wanting more.
Dell is more of a workplace/office monitor. Don't really look good for gaming in my opinion
Try this one
BenQ 3D
Probably norway, switzerland, and a few other european countries. Free healthcare, good economy, free education, you get paid to go to university (depends on the program of course). Pretty much everything is covered by taxes. Definitely in these countries you would never feel that you are left on your own.
[QUOTE="lostrib"]he one who lives with his motherLonelynightthere are a lot of people who live with their parents even after they get married and have children Sorry but those people are losers. If your married and have kids you should be able to support your family, not living with your parents. If you are then you have seriously failed to provide as a parent and spouse. I moved out when I was 18, paid my own bills and education. By 24(at the latest) one should be able to support themselves otherwise they have failed to become an adult.
Too many college kids today are wasting their time going to university to socialize and learn what "interests them". Going to school is about getting a JOB!! not studying psychology cause it's interesting. I know plenty of people with a master's in Arts that work making Pitas and other fast food. There are plenty of college programs like pharmacy tech, paramedic, that are paying way more than lots of useless bachelor of arts degrees and humanities, social science, etc.
Remember the purpose of university is to GET A JOB!!! pick a field where there are jobs and it gives you the money you want to have in the future. There are numerous fields which have 0% unemployment. Even if it's not your favourite subject, You are there to WORK. Instead university kids "take it easy", and then graduate with a mountain of debt and a useless degree.
I feel it is all for the worse. Not only are all the successful people having kids later, they have less children, while lower SES have the most. Our society will get progressively dumber.... More and more couples both working leaving their kids to be raised by daycare.
20-30 is the perfect time for a woman to have children. Too early and there is higher risk of prematurity, pregnancy complications poor upbringing, low education of the parents etc. Too late and there is risk of pregnancy complications, fetal defects, down's syndrome, and many other syndromes.
I've noticed many people have different opinions as to what constitutes cheating in a relationship, especially among classmates of mine. I see cheating as more than just sex. Persuing or entertaining a relationship with another while in a serious relationship to me is cheating. Basically to me cheating includes the following:
sex
kissing
holding hands
dating
romantic dancing (sexual dancing like grinding, or romantic dancing like slow dancing)
flirting
viewing strippers (unless you go with your partner)
I personally would not be okay with my partner doing any of the above. What do you believe in in your relationships?
